The man I was with for 11 years died March 17 2018. 2 months 9 days later my brother's girlfriend died. They died almost the same way. I struggle everyday because everyday I wake up I feel like I'm reliving that day over and over. I have a hard time explaining how I feel except breathless. My grieving process is not going well. Watching and hearing you gives me hope. Which is crazy cause I realized that death stole my hope away. I was always a glass half full type of person I would always have hope when no one else would. Then he died and his death stole all of my hope. I watch you a complete stranger and you actually help me more than my own family and friends. So for that I thank you. #perfectstranger

Heather Lewis... I too am a widow. I totally understand what you are saying and feeling. It has been 8 years and 4 months since my beloved husband died in my arms. For the longest time I was right where you are. Reliving that day and days leading up to it. I too felt so hopeless and alone. Give yourself some grace sister... it has not been that long for you! I'm not going to say those memories go away, but with time you will begin to remember the happy times with your husband. Let God be your REFUGE and your HOPE ! Praying and sending you hugs from Kansas !

Wow, I recognize every thought and struggle that you mention in this video. My husband passed away 3 years ago and I remember also thinking about the vow and covenant - death parted us, I'm not married anymore. Heartbreaking but true. I took my rings off after one year (but, just like you, taking the them off and putting them on again a couple of times). Thank you so much for having the courage to share this, I pray that God will continue to bless you

I remember watching your update back then, and I couldn't finish it because I felt so sorry for you. Little did I know, that 2 years and 2 days later, God would take my perfectly healthy husband and like you, I am now a widow at 26 years old. Thank you so much for making these videos. I am so broken, I just miss my best friend so much and our baby girl misses daddy. But I cling to Christ, I know he is faithful and he is my only hope.

I can relate, my husband went to his heavenly home 10-18-18 after 15 years of marriage. Although we had known about the diagnosis almost 10 years, but there's no such thing of preparing for the emptiness, loneliness and loss that follows hearing the last drop of blood escape his heart. Or perhaps it was his spirit/soul escaping its earthly body. I understand our marriage is over, but I'm not ready to give up the security my wedding ring seems to provide from men with inappropriate ideas. I suppose one of these days or years I'll feel strong enough to fend for myself, but for now I'll let my ring help. Thank you for posting your story I needed to find such a spiritually connected woman who's been there, done that.

Hi Michelle I always love watching your videos.I became young widow at 20 with too young kids. So I didnt have much time to greive.Insted I held on to all the pain in my heart for years.I finally spoke to god asked him to help me through this process.I was alone most my life so I had no one to lean on for support all I had was God.Im so thankful that he gave me my kids and the strenght to push through toughest times.My daddy passed away 3 years after my kids father passed.I fell into deep depression.But I kept asking for his help.With out him I dont know what would be different today.Im blessed that he took me and saw me in pain and held me up and we walked together for many years .I never gave up and I believe hes my saving grace.I wish to give you hug every time I watch your videos its so calming and peaceful.Luvu sis🙏👼✨

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm personally not a widow, but like you said this applies to many different things. I think sometimes we do stay stuck in our hurt, anger, unforgiveness, or grief because it's easier that way. But like you said, the sooner we can deal with these things the sooner God can send us on to where he wants us to go. As always, thank you for being obedient to our Lord and sharing all the amazing things he places on your heart. Sending so much love your way.

Beautiful michelle, This was so special. Thank you so much for sharing your heart. Its so true, its such a personal thing. My husband left me 2 weeks before our second child was born and I got through that time only on the breath of God's grace and the love of family. I couldn't bring myself to take my ring off in hope that he'd change his mind and come back but then 2 months later when I saw that he had taken his ring off, I felt the peace and the release from God that it was ok to let go (although painful nonetheless). What you said is so true, only you know when you're ready and have the peace to put that part away and go forward. I loved what you said about God releasing you/healing you so that he can send us out. That is confirmation for me as I couldn't understand why almost 4 months later I woke up one morning and realised I was done with the hurt and had forgiven my soon to be exhusband. God has a plan and like he told the children of Israel, I am to go forward. To even get to place to say my husband has left and isn't coming back from a place of acceptance and no longer feeling the shame that came with it, is Gods glory. Thank you for including those who may be going through a divorce. In no way do I try to relate this to being similar to your pain or the pain of losing a husband to death, but it's still extremely painful especially when it's taken out of your hands its not want you wanted or want. But God is doing a new thing and I trust him completely.

I know for me the grief of losing a loved one was so hard. I had to give myself the permission to just cry when in the appropriate times and places etc. I think I was literally giving myself a grade on how I was grieving and had to seek help from my pastor for moving forward and he was helpful in saying stop grading yourself. I had no clue I was doing that. I have learned to continue to trust in the Lord to cover me with his love and comfort. I love you and wish I could hug you and hang. Proud of you and appreciate your honesty. Girl, you look amazing!!!!
@kayredeemed116
@kayredeemed116 6 лет назад
My pastor also said that grief has no time frame. It's been over 23 years since he lost his dad and he still cries today. You know hearing that makes me feel better that I don't and no one else should have to feel pressured to rush the process. I couldn't cry for a while and I thought something was wrong with me but when I did cry It was like a dam had been broken. I am dealing with it better through the Lord's help.

Peace, love and continued healing to you siSTAR. I have been watching you go through this journey for 2 years now and have never been able to find the words to share, but my heart, my heart has always been with you. I am 35 years old and journeyed into widowhood at the age of 27 when my husband passed from complications of Lupus. We had been together for 7 years and married for less than a year and a half. This video spoke to me... brought me back to recalling all the layers of mourning and healing that come with such a reality... things that don't hit you until they're directly in your face (like someone unknowingly inquiring about your pretty rings months after your husband has passed on). This process is life changing.... there will always be triggers and quiet moments that hit us so deep within for the rest of our lives. It's tough, but through faith and openness, I've realized that when everyone kept telling me to "give it time", the more appropriate path for me was to "give it life". I had t keep moving forward, as you are, and my what love and light I have found in that! Please keep shining sis! You are such an inspiration and motivator to many! Thank you and happiest of holidays!

Thank you for sharing from your heart. Everyone's journey is so different. For me 2 yrs into my husband's passing, one Sunday morning the pastor was preaching and he stopped and said to the congrgation that the Lord was asking us to surrender something in our lives. As we bowed to pray, I was asking God what was that for me. In my spirit, I heard "your wedding rings". I knew it was required of me, to bring more healing of the grief. In God strength, I slipped them off.

Glad you are healing and you are very inspiring. Everyone's walk is different, and mourning is a different process for everyone. If you takes you longer than the 9 months it took her to decide to be over her husband; it doesn't make you less of a Godly person. It simply means your healing time isn't done, and perhaps that's because you need longer time with God molding you. It's been 6 yrs this Thanksgiving that my mom has passed, and I cry like it was yesterday all the time. IT HURTS. But GOD!!!

I'm a young widow as well and i decided to take off my wedding rings and i still take them out and look at them, it was so nice to watch this video and have your thoughts on it all and it was a really difficult thing for me to do, but i think for me it was something i needed to be at peace with, and i was angry for a lot of my grieving as well...and i still have anger about alot of things that happened in my life, but enough of that. you are a beautiful human being and you are so strong! you have no idea how nice it is to know that other people struggle with what we struggle with, there is many young woman just like us who lost their husbands, the people who they truly cared about to such horrible tragic, or an illness ( which is what happened to my late husband) anyways keep doing all these amazing videos, bless your soul; much love from Canada,Ontario

Life has a way of washing over everything. My husband passed away 4 years ago. Years go by and the only thing that becomes clearer and clearer to me is the rock I stand on is Christ. 2 yrs after I took my rings off... put in a little box. I got burgled the same yr and they took my engagement ring. This year my wedding ring slipped off and I couldn’t find it. See life can go over you and through you like that. When it is time we have to let it pass. Just hold onto Christ he does not pass on or slip away. ❤️🥰

Girl this is bomb and 🗣YOU NEED TO WRITE A BOOK! Ppl need to hear this. I was taking care of a terminally ill patient and he was torturing himself on his death bed, holding on to his wedding ring as if his wife was coming back or something. It was really sad. His wife had passed away over 5 years ago and he wouldn't take the ring off and would often cry about her passing. He wouldn't accept that she was really gone. It was impacting the relationship with his kids bc they wanted to see him getting better and he remained in this state where he was holding himself back from healing from that. He would even talk about her as if she was still there so initially, I had no idea that she had even passed away
