I remember those day dealing with those heavy ass frozen tarps. The ones I hated the most was the Kone uneven loads in Ohio, loading inside the building and getting kicked out to tarp outside in the snow. I was thinking in going back to Melton but after watching your video I had bad flashbacks. Good luck to you out there brother and be safe.
if youre still driving for MTL (or hell, any kenny or semi with a paccar transmission) if it gives an error about servicing it and doesnt shift, put the transmission in neutral, roll to a stop, park the truck and try putting it in drive again. Of it doesnt work, then shut the truck off completely, let it sit for a minute and turn the truck on, and the error will go away (for the time being). Im not a licensed mechanic but i do know that the TCU (Transmission Control Unit) likes to trip easily under certain conditions, but i do suggest getting it checked if it happens three times in a row.
Be prepared, bring some fkn cold weather gear. Extra bunjies, don’t fight long. Get on the trailer and get the tarp off. Hurry up every chance you get. Brrrrrrr. Thanks Big Dawg
Make sure to carry some rubbing alcohol to keep that windshield washer solvent from freezing in the reservoir! It says it’s good to -20, but it froze in my reservoir once. Stay safe and warm!😎
Hello bigDaddy! I worked in Burlington Iowa at -20 and I know its hard work and cold. Go to the store and buy the under armor #2 thermos there great for that kind of weather and you'll love them! Beside to keep that skin covered because you can get frost bite with long term wind exposure. Good Luck and be safe maybe you'll see me at melt too? P.S. almost forgot they also make good glove liners as well to keep hands warm, and buy chemical heat packs for your pocket to stay warm......
Wore me out just watching, that cold ain’t no joke in ND and MT. My son and I went up there about this time last year, got my drivers side window busted out and it was like 6 degrees, drove all the way back to Texas like that! Actually have it on video if you go back about a year 😂 when I was in the oilfield they always tried to get me to go to ND. I told them I’d stick to TX and OK 👌🏼 Besafe brother 👍🏼
Dragging those tarps backwards for any distance will tell you real quick that your quads ARE NOT in the shape you thought they were. Hell of a leg workout there!!
That's why I get on top and fold up the left side on to the top of the load... lol I'm actually on a load using my moving blankets, I actually hate multi stops, but comes with the job... have fun!!!
Didnt have a choice my man!! Lol it was where grandparents put down roots and have NO CLUE why my parents stayed but I left lol!! That cold is the WORST!!
At beginning dogs face says it all .. SHUT THAT DOOR .. even thinks about moving into the sleeper ! ! ... Bet you were warm after all that ... regards from England.
Damn that’s cold 🥶 I remember being in WaterTown , NY in the dead winter 7 degrees , I asked the same thing how do these people do it ?lol I’m from Southern California lol .Every move is critical lol
Have you ever considered the rechargeable heated work gloves? I’ve been researching them as a possible gift for my flatbed friend. It seems a lot of the youtube reviews are just for likes and idk if the gloves would allow enough dexterity for him to ACTUALLY do this manual labor.
When it's that cold outside or colder I notice you have a dog in your truck how do you get her outside to use the bathroom if it's too cold And not safe for her to be out there?
