Using cheap woodworking tools and survival gear to build a shelter using a hollow log. With a wind proof fire place In the middle of a forest in the cold winter. Surviving in northern United States Thank you for watching friends
Best hollow log I've ever seen was in the woods where I grew up. There was a monster pine tree that had fallen, and it was about 7 feet in diameter, and very hollow like the one used here. I always meant to go back and turn it into a great place to camp since It wasn't very far to the Cape Fear river for fishing. Unfortunately I never went back to it....
To long beginning [since it's not just a travel video, is suggest you to gets a bit closer to point: show what you promised]. Not enough informative: I'd think it's pretty wetty inside. In case of hiding it's fine, but the whole night - questionable, is it possible to rest the first night "just like that", without extra drying with close fire at least one day. Also at rain:I wouldn't think it's isolated well so. It's it liveable? Not clear after full watching. Peace to you, bro. Multiply your knowledge!
I have not seen any other bush crafter on You Tube do such a thing as this. You have taken " natural shelter" to the next level. Your vision and implementation is unsurpassed. Excellent work brother.
Then, in the middle of the night, the tarantula walks up to his face and says “we’ve been trying to reach you in regard to your cars extended warranty”
Not meant to be critical.but that hatchet needs a good sharpening!!! those little limbs should come off easily with one good swipe of the hatchet!!!--David.
Thank you so much Troy!! You just put a big smile on my face I’m going to be traveling to Patagonia and Brazil late this year I really what to show people something different and cool. Will see how that goes best wishes to you sir again thank you for taking time out of your day to write a comment. :D
Wow... Dude, it's people like you, who stretch the boundaries of a concept. "I'm gonna live in a home off the grid for a while," and end up living in a tree. You sir, are legendary. I can LEARN something from this. My father was in the military for 20+ years. He always tried to teach me the value of survival, and you've taken that concept and done something unique with it... I look forward to seeing what you may do next. Thank you for the content.
That’s awesome brother I was in the marines 2 years ago for 6 years almost unfortunately I got a small tumor in my head. Thankfully it was removed successfully now I just have to wait a couple of months for some treatments and test to avoid getting that tumor again after that I will go back on duty. Thank you so much for your comment brother it really motivates me! :D
@@Cook-hb2nf really!!! :D thank you so much!!!! I wish everyone happiness and health. @@NaniSangeeth I'm goin to be traveling to the amazon jungle and Patagonia by the end of the year hopefully I can film some really cool places. thank you so much for subscribing friend :D
If you come back, you may want to figure a way to seal off both ends after you crawl in. Then it’ll be warm and protected from smaller critters. Maybe even put a cover over the door while your there to water proof it from rain. Killer set up. Very original!
In one end of the tree I put some rocks. I just need to figure out a way to seal the entrance. Lol :) thank you so much for taking time out of your day to comment on my video sir it really helps and encourage me. Best wishes :D
LoL it was actually clean a few old spider webs but since I live in a very cold region there’s not many bugs. Thank you for leaving a comment best wishes :)
Thank you for your feedback back sir :) I will take in consideration doing some cooking or a next morning video or maybe something different from everyone else.
Hi TJ..!!!!! I woke up today and saw your big gift. 😊 thank you so sooo much! It helps me a lot you have no idea 😀 I’m going to be traveling to South America soon and I was thinking about doing a giveaway something cool from the Amazon natives. I will definitely be sending you something 😊 thank you again best wishes to all of your love ones.

I’m feeling the pressure now LoL thank you so much friend :D I like your name “lone wolf” I started my Chanel with the name “lonely wolf” but decided to change it to native wolf.
Yes!!! Definitely I haven’t uploaded new videos I got a new job and one of my family members pass away but is definitely coming. Thank you so much for commenting best wishes to you :)
What you mean like a cradle to grave lifestyle eco cremation business The W.E.F would be impressed with this smaller life suggestion even the creepy crawlies could be on the menu that find there way in to your idle??
Nope that’s why I call the video building and not spending the night. It’s very comfortable and warm it just needs some more work to prevent my self from getting wet if it rains. Will definitely make a video in the near future staying the night there. Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave a comment best wishes sir :)
Great video. Sounds like the area you were in was right near a busy freeway? Guess it gets harder & harder to find true quiet areas these days. Thats especially true in the UK which is a pretty crowded country (and getting more crowded every year tbh).
Thank you friend actually to get to that area it’s a 40 minute walk but there’s like a train loading dock near by unfortunately. Thank you for your comment :)
How was it, was it tight how did you close the other side where you got in or it stays open honestly if if you'd cut the door a bit bigger and sealed the sides it would've been superb
You live in the outdoor paradise I have seen some other RU-vidrs film some really really cool wild places in Canada. I film in northern USA Thank you so much!!! For your comment bro it really helps and especially motivates me :) god bless you!
@@Nativewolf-craftandwilderness Anytime bro by the way Tansi bro, i'm full blooded sioux , i read your name "Native Wolf" so i subscribed and supported a brother
Wow that’s so awesome of you we need more people in this world like you!!! Your child has the best mother LoL thank you so much for asking. Yes I’m good I’m about to continue uploading more videos. I’m exited because by the end of this year I’m traveling to Patagonia and the Amazon jungle I’m definitely going to film some very cool videos. :D I can’t wait for that!!! Blessings TJ!!! To you and all of your love ones your an awesome human.
TJ..!!!! No way your making me feel bad you donated $20 to my Chanel?? I’m very happy and sad at the same time why??? I really wish and want to do some for you, this afternoon I almost walk out of my job because I started feeling very very sad, depressed, and aggressive so much that my chest started to hurt I couldn’t control it I just feel like crying. But seeing that a complete stranger took $20 dollars out of her pocket to give them to me it’s just amazing!!!! 😊 I have no words SINCERELY “TJ” your an angel you deserve heaven just for yourself 😊 i haven’t uploaded videos this las couple of weeks because I have been feeling very lonely, sad, anxious, depressed I been by myself since 14 years old and at times I feel like no one cares about me and that I will never be happy. I been dealing with this stupid thinking the last couple of weeks but tonight you really put a smile and hope on me THANK YOU SO MUCH TJ! You really really don’t know how happy you made me feel No because of the money but it’s meaning. God blessed you thank you again
@@TJMessianic1 thank you so much TJ!!! My apologies for the late response I just noticed RU-vid doesn’t notify me on response’s. Lol always something new to learn with the Chanel hope you have an amazing Sunday.
@@Nativewolf-craftandwilderness I was watching with my daughter last night and I told her the land looks familiar. I'm in Indiana. Now I know why it looks like home. Great videos. Subscribing now. Thank you.
It was cool AF, but it didn’t seem to be very accessible! I figure it would have slept great! But I think it would be too hard getting in and out! I will sub to you brother!!
Lol yeah brother to get in it was easy to get out it was just slower. It makes a solid shelter in any situation rain, snow, freezing weather, I think it can be good to protect yourself from some small predators. I really REALLY appreciate your comment bother it really helps me and motivates me.
@@Nativewolf-craftandwilderness i haven’t sir, but would like to learn. I do a lot of camping mostly in my back yard , teaching my grandsons. I have several projects coming up that I want to record. The name came from the property my wife and I bought 20 years ago that connected on to our property. It had been in the family in the past. It has a small creek running through it, and the creek had been used for a dump for 40 years or more. One Saturday morning while cleaning out the creek that was full of beer and whiskey bottles, I told my wife, looks like we bought a bucket of Drunkwoods! And so the name stuck!!i later named my jeep Drunkwoods! My daughter goes by Drunkwoods Princess!
Really wow thank you sir!!! I will be traveling to the Amazon jungle late this year I want to film more interesting videos. I just don’t want to be the same as many others, but thank you sir god blessed you!
There was a few old spiderwebs what I did but did not film was, I took a burning branch and use it to burn what ever little bugs where inside. The good thing is that it was freezing so there’s really no bugs :) thank you for your comment!
Nooo don’t worry the entrence to the tree was actually Block by a bunch of old branches, I did make sure there was no sings of anything living in there. Also when I was done I put everything back the way it was and keep the entrance opened for any animal to be able to take shelter in there. If you have seen my other videos I never cut down or harm trees that are alive I always use fallen trees or branches I really like nature and i try not to harm it in anyway. Thank you for your comment :)
All these videos start the same way a guy with a back pack walking thru the woods. Can't any of you guys do anything original instead of the walking thru the woods for an intro?
Any suggestions? I’m getting a horse would that be better a guy on a horse in the middle of nowhere traveling on the most rural spots in the world? This is the reason I haven’t upload a new video I don’t want to be the typical boring channel in the same spot who does the same thing in every video.
