Taking Shelter of Lord Narasimhadeva's Mercy - His Appearance Day 

There was a most sacred and auspicious place, hallowed grounds dating back to the age of Satya-yuga, the era of truth itself. For here stood a self-manifested deity of Lord Narasimhadeva, patiently awaiting darshan life after life. This was the arca-vigraha form - the merciful manifestation of the Lord meant to remain, despite most souls never visiting Him.
The unique history of these sanctified lands told of how it was here that Narasimhadeva rested on His way back to the spiritual abode of Vaikuntha. He had just protected His most beloved devotee Prahlada by slaying the demon Hiranyakashipu. Knowing the Lord's ways, the demigods swiftly crafted a lake here, hoping Narasimhadeva would pause to bathe, as He is known to delight in such purifying rituals.
Sure enough, Narasimha did descend to the lake's shore, his hands still stained with the blood of the ravaged demon king. It was here that He washed that transcendental gore away, purifying the very waters. Just imagining it sparked the desire to bathe here and worship this fearsome yet devoted savior.
For though terrifying to sinful beings, Narasimha showers His lotus feet upon all who take refuge, developing within them love for Radha-Krishna. His emerged to vanquish the six enemies headed by lust that reside in the wicked heart. By His grace, one's passion gets purified to serve the Divine Couple without hindrance.
Yet we are weak and full of faults - pride, lack of taste, indecisiveness, sense hankerings, inability to improve, and being deluded by facilities. Only by incessantly calling out to Narasimha like a child to its mother can we demolish these material entanglements.
Lord Krishna Himself declares He is conquered only by devotion's ropes of love. Though eternally liberated, He becomes bound, controlled and enlivened solely by selfless loving service. It is this highest end we aspire for at Narasimha's feet.
The great saints have begged here, "When will I weep and pray to worship Radha-Krishna free from lust? When will the fearsome but kind Nrisingha make this wicked heart fearless and sinless?" Only by such pleas and taking full shelter without looking back can we too rollick in divine prema at the Lord's sublime lotus feet.
