Fun Fact : With a score of 95 points out of 100, Malaysia has been ranked first as the world's best in healthcare with its world-class healthcare services and sophisticated infrastructure. ... Malaysia took the top spot in the Healthcare category of Annual Global Retirement Index 2019 which was published recently.
Steve, you may not be a doctor, but you've been spreading love, joy, and kindness wherever you go. You and Ivana not only strive to learn new things along the way, but also make every effort to acknowledge, embrace and respect differences. You guys bridge gaps wherever you go, and that's a noble act too. Stay safe! Love you guys!
I second that! Steve and Ivana Have been so humble and genuine in saying whatever they have been thinking and never want anything in return in doing the good thing for our country. Big thank you! We will miss you both!
Why you need / got to go out of Malaysia??? Can you explain it? Is it that Malaysian Government order all foreighners to get out of the country or they never extend the visa? Or you want to go by your own choice???
@@Fallen_Angel17 own choice. They want to continue their adventure. There's still many are staying here don't want to leave yet, like Greg & Jumi from Food & Footprints and another family from Moonshine & Lemongrass
I had my Covid test done at Ramsay Medical Centre, Ara Damansara. Went in super nervous cos I've heard so much about the discomfort of having that swab shoved up the nose. The doctor who did my test told me to open my mouth, and keep breathing through my mouth as the swab went up my nose. That worked great, for me ... I felt ZERO discomfort. Not even the wanting to sneeze or tearing up feeling. Amazing!
Fun fact , As Malaysian, You qualified to get treatment For As Low As RM1 ( USD 0.25 ) At Malaysian Government Hospitals or clinic. Private hospital is good, but it definitely costs way less to seek consultation and treatment in government-run medical institutions, with treatments and services being offered for as low as RM1. In some cases, it could also be free of charge.
Free medical service in govt hospital if u are a blood donor but based on the number of pints u've donated. More than 50 pints, u are entitled to be warded in the 1st class ward.
Never thought I’d see a vlog on Malaysian hospitality in its literal sense 🤣 Glad you both are negative. Can start packing for Pakistan now. Looking forward to the next chapter of your travel.
The term Sister is in fact a Senior Registered Nurse, and the term has been used extensively in Britain and countries that were part of the British commonwealth. It was a term used in Australia until about 15 years ago. It is still used in the UK in referring to a Senior Nurse.
Even after 22 years, the hospital where I was born is still in tip top condition deserving of its praise. While a bit sad for you guys to leave, but I do hope you have more exciting experiences as good as your experience in Malaysia
Before KPJ bought over most of the private hospitals in Malaysia, these hospital fought to get clients seeking medical assistance by way of who could give the best value for money. Tawakkal Hospital was one of the most popular with Indonesians. Ampang Puteri was somewhere in the mid-range of medical centers, Pantai Hospital was in the top-range. All three hospitals are now under KPJ and are equipped with state of the art machines like you saw here and not much distinction between each of them (18 other KPJ hospitals nationwide). This leaves us with limited choice, either KPJ having the biggest market share, it's competitor Columbia Hospitals or to Government Hospitals. KPJ gives back to the society by building community clinics (Waqaf An-Nur) all over Malaysia that are run by medical personnel from the nearest KPJ Hospital with a minimum payment of RM5. 00-RM10. 00 only.
@@zarinaabdulghani8237 Banyak juga rumah-rumah anak yatim dinaungi oleh KPJ. Oleh kerana KPJ dari Johor dan kerajaan negeri Johor memiliki saham, setiap anak Johor yg bekerja dibawah KPJ dpt perlindungan Takaful.
I was a Long term traveller like you- travel > 1 year. I got sick every month (9 times) like you. What I found was that it builds up your immune system so in the long run you are stronger immune wise. I haven't had a cold for 8 years now! Something for you to look forward to
Just like what the Jetlag Warriors and their fellow RU-vid friends have experienced... Once this pandemic is under control & travel becomes possible, people travelling here for healthare purposes can DEFINITELY refer to your videos to know what there is to discover here in Malaysia after their treatment/recovery. Stay safe & stay 'negative'! Happy travels Steve & Ivana!!
Congulation Steve and Ivana on the covid test. You must had felt excited for your next trip. I can imaging both of you starts to pack and preparing documents needed to be show at the airport. Steve, even when you're talking doing video, must your mask on to talk. Lastly with heavy heart seeing both of you leaving Malaysia but a must is a must for UTuber to carry on the journey. Wishing both of you safe flight and God Bless.
Im not surprised on the equipment and facilities tbh because Malaysia, with a score of 95 out of 100, was ranked first in the Best Healthcare in the World category of the 2019 International Living Annual Global Retirement Index.
After today's case report, I think there are people who need to be reminded not to blame our frontlines. As you can see here, they're all doing the best they can with what they have. More so in public hospitals. The problem is the people who're running the political circus show
You are so lucky !! I never got the chance to get a tour ... I think you both are special people. I might get them to give me a tour next time I'm there. Thankfully your results were negative ...
I’m so glad to hear that you didnt have to visit the clinic or hospital during your stay here in Malaysia, except for the covid test ... Yes, Malaysia is one of the chosen destination for Healthcare service in the world. Even our govt hospitals are top notch and have not being controlled or manipulated by Insurance Companies like we see in the US. Thank God.
Would’ve been awesome to be able to meet you guys at Ampang Puteri. My wife had just delivered our 2nd child at the hospital and was discharged only a couple days ago. Have an amazing trip around the world and keep vlogging.
"We realized that there are many people who comes internationally for the purpose of "medical tourism" due to the lower cost but fantastic level of healthcare in Malaysia." JetLag Warriors, 2021 Travel safe ya and hope u visit Malaysia again. ok lah. apa2 roger
Thank you JLW Steve and Ivana. I've never seen most of these Hospital units/depts... Praying that we dont have to..but what you did here is just equally amazIng and humbling. May both of you stay healthy. Thank you.
Malaysia had won the best medical facility in the world award for last few years. We won in terms of medical facility, expertise, service etc...you can just Google it. But most people don’t know about it.
Congratulations for the negative results. Keep on staying safe whichever country you will be going. God bless you both always. Very informative video, thank you. 💖🇲🇾
You both are finally fit for travel! And we will have an empty nest syndrome for a short while accepting the fact that we can hopefully only see you again in 2022. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive and safe travels!
Hai Jetlag Warriors... Kpj is a private hospital chain. If you want to see Malaysia actual healthcare go to Hospital Kuala Lumpur or Hospital Sungai Buloh. Not as fancy as private Hospital. But as good as the private Hospital....Good luck on your next journey
Happy to hear it's negative. Have a safe flight and continue to stick to the SOP and wear your mask when u both venture out. Miss you guys 😪😘. Do come back again to Malaysia, your second home 🏡,🤗🤩😍🥰
@Pisiform Production Lol!! I go clear my payment everything oredi laaaaa.. selagi tak kena halau i lepak first la. Hospital dinner at 6pm what.. also, doctor clear u for discharge in the morning, u think insurance clear very fast meh? U're LUCKY if they do so! Lol
I feel sad knowing you will leave Malaysia soon when you had your Covid19 Swab Test. That day is getting near. Your channel become part of many Malaysian lives that subscribe to this channel.
Hi Ivana and Steve 👋🏻 Just a thought that if you feel like going for a morning run or evening walk at KLCC Park, it’s not that far from your house. It’s probably a 15-20 minutes walk, or you can always take Grab ☺️
Hello there 👋. Thnx goodness guys you both scored negative ➖ for the covid test 😚👏👌! Its kind of suspense when u think about the possibility of being infected thus the uncertainty to board the flight when its due..so really glad to hear this 😄. But mann, i dont really fancy touring hospital..those distinctive smells and atmosphere is not for me 😅. Sort of overwhelm that you guys going to leave soon but god willing we shall c u again here ☺️. Take care ✌️!
Woah, you guys are so lucky to be given a hospital tour. Thanks for this knowledgeable vlog. Yup, l agree that Malaysian healthcare services are just mind blowing, be it a government hospital or a private one. Congrats for the negative results !!! Stay safe and stay positive.
@@unklevent "understooded" lah... ( keluar Manglish dy ) for sure l know it's a joke...no joke, no fun lah, right? Steve and lvana will be laughing at us, walao wei !!! 😂😂
The mouth throat part.... Ok ... I think I can manage that ...The nostrils..... OK ..Might be the tricky part.... Yup, a small price to pay of you need to travel ..Stay safe, happy exploring...
have fun in Pakistan steve and ivana...don't miss the opportunity to go to the Himalayan Salt mine there...majority of the global stock came from there...
Right across is Ampang Point . You can go try many types of cuisines, including Dayang Sarawak Corner for east Malaysia cuisine and for western try Naili’s. You can also sample Ampang Yong Taw Foo, very tasty Chinese food.
Here in the UK for COVID-19 PCR test included Certificate Fit to Fly average price £150-200 (RM800-1100) for 3 days result or 24 hours result double the price for £395 (RM2200) so RM300 is way much cheaper for express result in Malaysia. You can get free COVID-19 swab test by NHS (National Health Services) but not to use for travelling or fly.
Just a friendly reminder before you fly to Pakistan, download Pass Track app to your phone and upload your result, it will make easier to pass health counter at airport.
Thanks for showing how the nose swab test isn't that bad. Few years ago, one tiny cockroach sneak up into my nostril when I was asleep. Little bastard bite me and since then I develop a phobia of tiny little things going up my nose.
