Many of you know that I have decided to be nomadic this summer and Ios, Greece, is my first stop. A friend is visiting me, and we took the SeaJets World Champion Jet to Ios this week. I give you a tour of World Champion Jet, my hotel in Ios, Kritikakis Village Hotel, and an introduction to Ios, Greece.

Yay! We loved our time in Ios this year. World Champion ferry is not the size of a world Champion! Lol. What a view from your hotel. We stayed close to where you did. Dinner looked yummy. Ferries are like the buses. Get on and off quickly. They feel there is no time to waste.

It definitely doesn’t live up to its name! I think the area by the port is underrated. I prefer it. Dinner was so good. They are like a bus. Bus of the Aegean!

There is so much to do here that isn’t a party! Plus most of the clubs don’t open till 1am so I have never experienced the party scene here. You’re welcome!

Party big July August but no where near as crazy as 80s to mid 90s.Still love it there,port person now in September usually.

@@agirlandherpassport yes village is great if you fancy bar mixing, but generally cool beautiful Island. Try Octopus Tree in the port.proper and 'Rickity chilled'.

I was there back in 2000 (yea I am that old) and it was a insane party island full of young clubbers back then. Were there many Middle Aged travellers when you were there?

You are just so adventurous. I ant to be more like you! Proud of you promoting and showing the joys of traveling again after the year we have all had. That is also the coolest ferry i've ever seen! It was a four hour ferry ride so I needed to work. It didn’t even have wifi. While that is fine for most people, I work while traveling to maximize my time.

Yassas! Do you absolutely have to stow away luggage (carry on for example) on the racks below deck? I just wonder if travelling during high season with lots of people could be chaotic when you dock and have to go and grab it, especially if you are travelling with gifts and wrapped items.

You don’t have to but you have to carry it down the stairs as there will not be an escalator or elevator down.

Yes, this is the fast ferry from Piraeus port. It is about 4 hours.

Bars are open but clubs are not open yet. It is still not busy.

It changes all the time and there is lots of speculation but I imagine they will open the clubs in July if the numbers stay low.

I’m not a super outgoing person so it’s harder for me. I have no American or UK friends here though. I haven’t met many Americans at all.

@@agirlandherpassport That's ok. Greeks are nice people imo generally. I saw your videos and thought maybe you traveled iwth friends at times, not alone. Either is good really. I'm just looking for more friends in athens but also, my greek language isn't great.

Most Greeks speak enough English. You will be fine!
