Seeing how far we can take the jet boat up the 10 Mile River. We got pretty far, made it from New Milford, CT to Dover, NY! The Solar Strela performed great!
The big rapid is called State Line rapid, check with local whitewater kayakers for accurate river info such as river levels to help you with your adventures
Thanks for the info. I feel like we are the first to jet boat up a lot of these rapids so I usually er on the side of caution, a 15' 500 lbs boat can be a handful, so any so any info (beside just google earth imagery) would be very useful! Are there any kayaking clubs in CT you can recommend?

I would guess there is no law in place that you can't boat up the Ten Mile only because a boat that could actually go up a river that shallow would be very difficult to obtain. This boat is imported from Siberia (pre war) and specially made for going up shallow rivers. I am going to go out on a limb here and say it is probably the only one in CT and Eastern NY.
Nothing steals away peace and tranquility on a quiet river like two idiots playing out their midlife crisis in an overpowered stink-boat, going full tilt boogie.
