Why would they hate on somebody with multiple platforms? Isn't it a good thing if you're playing on the fanboy's favourite system, even if you own the others? They would critisize you for owning one platform that isn't the fanboy's favourite anyway. I can't understand obsession with electronic parts put together for entertainment. Why can't people just enjoy the games that come out, no matter what platform?
I'm glad there is someone in the "bashing community" on youtube (no offense) that took the time to talk about this. I was beginning to think there was no hope with people getting mad at each other because one person plays one system, and another person plays another system. What I find even more ridiculous are the people that take it to the next level and throw personal attacks. It's obviously not just entertainment when people take it that far.
The truth is if there was one gaming platform the gaming products would cost so much more, competition is something we need. People should be able to live with the fact that sometimes not everyone likes what you like. You shouldn't have a problem accepting that the other platforms exist, they exist for a reason. Believe it or not but the other platforms at times are what helps make yours better, competition.

I'm not a fan of certain games and video game companies, but I'm not crazy enough to write paragraphs about why they suck. Each system, each game, and each company has its ups and downs.
I like how your ad to your new movie appeared in this vid, but yeah man I agree with you people get overly defensive when they hear something they don't like about their video games or favorite medium in general but I guess they're just passionate about it.
I'm not someone who will go to extremes like some people on YT, but I believe video games are very important just like any art form because of how they reflect real life. Video games may be fictional, but the people who play them are real and gain real experiences from that fiction. They inspire, they enlighten, and they change how people think. For that reason, I believe them to be a very important part of my life. Not enough for me to be a complete douche to people, but still very important.
Like I said, I'm talking about those people that make it THEIR JOB to do so, their channel is DEDICATED to doing that. I agree, we're all biased in one way or another, but I'm talking about those extremists.
Did you watch the whole video? I said it's ok to justly bash companies and consoles, and I was really just talking about the big 3, not 3rd parties. But yea I agree with you. I just said it's sad how some people make it "their job" to bring a company or console down, as if they get paid for it or something.
I agree with everything you say. Even as a kid, I played on different consoles, and I still do. It's very sad how some people have to attack other people on the internet just because they, for some reason, only play on PS3 or Wii. It doesn't make sense. I wish people could just show some respect and live with it.
Those people think of video games as their girl/boyfriends so they feel the need to defend them. Or maybe since they have nothing of substance in their lives they latch on to games and that becomes the most important thing to them.

I have the same problems everyday! I have this guy who stalks me, and constantly debates, & challenges my comments posted on videos I watch, of videos games, or otherwise. Its sooo disturbing!
Even though I am more of a Nintendo fan but even I say that is ridiculous to take what they say to heart and actually threaten to hurt someone or even harass them. Video games consoles are just video games consoles. Video game companies are just video game companies. There's no need to have a heart attack over someone liking a different console other than the one you like. We are gamers. We should be focusing on having fun, not trying to hurt each other.
Yes. But the principle is still the same. Giving death threats to people is wrong no matter what you're discussing. And some of these things turn into wars. As in they're not just threats anymore. Religion for example. I don't really wanna get too much into it cuz it's a sensitive topic, but I think you get my point. No matter what, if people disagree, some people ARE going to argue about it and sometimes take it WAY too far. Doesn't matter if it deals with real life or not, it's still wrong.
I agree; this is the reason I avoid games like modern warfare 3. I don't hate the games just the people that get overly mad about losing, like the little kids that shouldn't be playing M rated games.
A lot of gamers are socially awkward and mediocre in mainstream society - lacking academic prowess, adequate physical appearance or personality to thrive socially. They seek an outlet to make themselves feel smart or special in some way (because our minds are inclined to release pleasing chemicals when we are praised) and therefore they place importance on trivial shit. Its harsh but that's the best way I can explain these people's mindset.
What Shokio is talking about in this video is definitely not limited to video games. I'm afraid that this has been a staple of the human condition for many millennia, possibly since the dawn of the human race. People have exactly the same attitude towards football, music, art, etc. They will argue in exactly the same way over literally anything, regardless of its apparent importance.

I have been doing everything you said but that was when i was 11 years old.....now, not so much (only when i troll) because I own PS3 and Xbox 360 and soon might be playing my sister Wii U and let her play my Xbox 360 for Minecraft. But I think real shit might happen when Wii U, PS Orbis (lol), and Xbox 720.
Hmn, to me playing video games is fun, and I like to play on all consoles since I get to experience different games on them. I love my Wii, and I have been playing Arc Rise Fantasia for over 70 hours, and not done w/ the game yet (good turn base rpg game btw). I also like playing on the 360 like Dead Rising, but I never played on a PS3 (I need to though), but I'm sure I would have plenty of fun on it like I am w/ my Wii.
LOL he is right though, the majority of people today taking gaming way to seriously. I can't count the number of times i have received hatemail for beasting somebody in a game online or putting one comment on youtube and get like paragraph essay responses. Its funny as hell to be honest. Like i get pissed at certain things when i game online but ive never gotten to the point where i start sending pm and threating somebody.
I literally know someone who left his girlfriend for League of Legends. That same person began harassing me at school because I think Metaknight is a bit unbalanced.
I'm a HUGE Nintendo fan but I also love PlayStation (not a huge fan of Sony because of the way they act), this gen I have a Wii and PS3, 6th gen I had a GameCube, PS2, and Xbox and 5th gen I had a N64 and PS1 (I did not have any Sega consoles and also had the NES and SNES).

Well, the the Nintendo guys, it's more of, they don't wanna see people talk about the other platforms they own. In other words, they're cool with it as long as you don't spend any time on them, as proof on DC's videos. So that's the difference. DC spends time to talk about his other platforms, when SuperBros pretty much talking Wii or trashing Sony/PS3, some Nintendo fanboys definitely wouldn't complain about.
LOL I have that Bioshock 2 poster. And the reason as to why people take video games seriously is because some people see them as a way of life. It's all they have.
