I can't stand regular takis, I think they are WAY WAY too salty and too sour. Edit: haha, I see you feel the same! Glad I can trust your taste preferences. XD Will try the Trader Joe's version, will probably like that, thanks!
Yeah I love the texture bigtime but they’re just too much. Always wanted a tamer version. Maybe they exist but I’m not investigating the five-second decision when buying chips and no Trader Joe’s convenient to me
As someone who works with high school kids. The kids love those takis. The adults I know dislike the original Takis and love Trader Joe’s and I fall into that category. TJ or bust on this one
I’m Indian but I love sour and salty like vinegar or limon chips and that’s the main reason I like takis honestly wish they could be a little more sour lol
Trader Joe's is one of two things i miss from California. We got a couple rradsr joe type joints here in Japan tho just ain't the same they even had their bootleg takis too.
I've had Takis in Romania 4 months ago and had no idea they were an international thing. No wonder they tasted so intense. I thought to myself "no way Romanians can handle this much heat". I do handle spice, but yeah the overall experience was too much.
To me, Takis is just far too salty. I barely taste any heat from the chips. Plenty of people love them, and more power to those that like the sodium explosion.
The first time i had takis was when i was in the 4th grade(im 25 now😭) they used to be soooo much spicer back then & the stuff on the outside would turn your finger black if you at alot. Now they’re just really sour. I stopped eating them
to be fair, takis has bigger chip bag sizes and I think the biggest size (festa) is like 7 dollars and the big but not festa 5 dollars. also I would always get trader joes but it was so good but I still liked takes more but more I ate (not one bag like multiple) the more bad it tasted like it didn't taste any thing like takis nor did it have any spice it was just kinda tangy and sour
As a Mexican, I can tell you Takis Fuego aren't the OG Takis, those would be the green bag Takis, and they also look and should taste similar to the Trader Joe's ones. Trader Joe's and green bag Takis would be a much fair comparison.
I’d eat the copy cat cuz they may not taste as good, but at least I’m not as likely to die or get problems. Ever since my friend got an stomach ulcer about 4 years ago, I told myself I have to limit my consumption of hot chips.
I handle spice extremely well. I go out of my way to do challenges at restaurant; not to win, just to enjoy the challenge and the heat. Takis make my face sweat just from thinking about them. There is some specific chemical combination in there that makes your body react, but it isn't "spicy-ness." It's legit sodium and whatever chemicals they throw in there. Avoid Takis 💯
Do takis and doritos dinamitas get the hot not the very hot ones. Its a lime green! Those are amazing and way better than the OG takis. Takis lost consistency and doritos is killing it.
So a few years ago my parents found out that my takis had this seasoning named msg and I use to eat the all the time so they found these new off brand takis from Trader Joe’s and it was delicious
I’m ngl, all copy cats of takis are way better than takis. Takis are wayyy too salty. The copy cats get the recipe right and it just tastes genuine. And, the copy cats don’t use as much red 40 👍.
