Hey Mike - excellent video!!! I just bought this wireless microscope and really appreciate the detail you went into describing how well it works. Honestly, I was skeptical if this was a good product. I just unboxed it and am charging it. Your video gives me a great head start to use the product. I will look at your other videos too.
Hey John, Thanks for watching. I'm glad this could help you. My kids and I use the microscope all the time. We donated 10 of them to my son's middle school and they're very popular in the science classes. Cool little device. Especially if you're into numismatics.
Great job on the video! Very very informative, great camera and editing skills as well, you could go to Hollywood....?!?!!!!! Lol jk, you might really could though... Anyway I bought my microscope used and had no manuals or instructions, the app the guy had shown me to download was only for Android, so then ANOTHER try for apps,😂... All I had to go off of was a name, " takmly ", then found your video!!! Thanks so much for taking Time off from your life, you've done a great thing for many others like me for years to come!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Yes, I know. I tested it out pretty good before I did the review. My manual says to put the power button and LED roller up. The majority of my manual is in Chinese so, as with most Chinese products, I assumed the manufacturer made a mistake in the documentation. It is an excellent hobby microscope and I am very pleased with it. I gave 6 of these as Christmas presents. Thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed the review although I would have put the brand name on the title, I've been looking for a review on this for my plants and I found a good one, thanks!
If you have not had it very long, then send it back to the company. Otherwise you may have to replace the battery. I've never done that, but I will look into it.
If it doesn't turn on the maybe let it charge overnight. If that won't work then request a replacement. I gave away 2 of those as presents and they worked ok. You may have gotten a bad one
I don't care what i do everything is up side down! I can turn the coin upside down or the microscope or both and it make no difference! Any help before I send it back?
Did you take the lens cap off? That will reverse the image. The lens cap is so clear that it's easy to think that it is part of the unit and supposed to be there. Mine shows a good image without the lens cap, but with the lens cap the image is upside down.
The microscope provides it's own wifi signal. You need to connect it to your laptop or phone and then download the inskam app. If the wifi connection is working then the inskam app will automatically show the image from the microscope.
The microscope generates its own wifi signal and the phone connects to the wifi. After the phone connects to the wifi signal the app will show the camera. I've tested with both iphone and several Android phones and have not had any problem with it. Make sure your phone has not connected to another wifi signal.
I had it on and off several times while i was making the video. The image is so good with it on that I did forget to take it off a couple of times. You have a good eye. No one else has noticed that.
My unit will connect to the PC by wifi and cable. The microscope generates its own wifi signal so you will have to look for it in your PC network settings. If you use a cable, it will show up in Windows as a camera. You can download a driver for it from their website
Excellent question. I had to go back and re-watch the video to see just how blue the image was. I believe the two reasons are that my shop lights at the time were about 7000 Kelvin, and the phone screen did not give a good image. I looked at the microscope again after I read your comment, and it looks a lot less bluenormal under my new lights, which are daylight at 4000K, and with my new phone. The colors in the image are not going to be actual real colors, but they should be a lot better than in my video. Thanks for pointing that out. Thanks for watching.
Works great on my Mary J can see if my triclons are nice and Amber ready for harvest and it works great to spot out bugs or worms on your plants but I never have any my stuff is premo 😂 green
@@MikeM100 It will likely do 1000x in theory if you shorten the focal distance to near zero, but in practice it would be impossible to keep the thing still enough to see anything meaningful even if there was enough light. I spent many hours every day for years using microscopes in the sixties and have a pretty good idea what problems occur at high magnifications. That's why they use cover slips, stains, microtomes and oil to get a good image at 1000x with ordinary microscopes. But in theory, it will do 1000x so that's a selling point.
I compared it to a real 1000x lens from a microscope in the lab at work and it is certainly not 1000. But it is sufficiently good for the target audience.
