It's honestly a shame to see that a good majority of Persona's most popular matchups are Jojo. I get it, there's connections, but it doesn't feel fun anymore because of how big of a stomp they all are. Adachi stomps Kira, Yu stomps Josuke, etc. I personally think Valvatorez from Disgaea would be a great opponent for Joker due to them having connections and coming from a series that gets as ridiculously OP as Persona, so there's a lot of potential for an epic fight with a good escalation. Unfortunately, Death Battle is most likely gonna do Joker vs Giorno, which has become a toxic cesspool of arguing despite the clear cut fact that Joker should win.

@@esteban8471 Actually Kira vs Adachi is the only fair Jojo vs Persona matchup. It mostly relies on speed if you think Kira is faster he wins, if you think Adachi is faster he wins. Joker vs Giorno is one I extremely hate since its the new Goku vs Superman. But I do like your idea for Joker. I do not want Joker vs Giorno since it makes me feel alot of pain if it became an episode it would become a civil war between Jojo and Persona fans

@@FoxyBoy-mz2ys Same. I haven't encountered the toxicity myself, but I've heard rumors of how bad it gets. The big reason I like Valvatorez vs Joker is that they balance each other out for the most part. Joker is more versatile and has more abilities, but Valvatorez is more experienced and skilled. Joker has fought more experienced foes before and Valvatorez has enough abilities to get through any Persona that gives Joker resistance or immunity to physical damage. And both have fought beings who transcend the very concepts of time and space, so they're pretty even in power and durability. But Valvatorez does blitz, which makes the winner pretty clear cut. But even with that working against the matchup, it's still better than anything Joker vs Giorno could offer as a fight. Giorno is nowhere near as versatile or as powerful as Valvatorez, so it's hard to make a fight between them escalate without making Giorno seem stronger than he actually is, and there's only so many times you can have him use the same two to three tricks before he finally pulls out the arrow. In contrast, there's so much Valvatorez can bring to the table that Giorno can't, such as a wider array of abilities and more opportunities for banter given the comedic tone of Disgaea.

Great theme as usual! Now... Maruki stomps. Hard. No offense but this is a Persona vs Jojo match that Jojo just cant win. Maruki is one of the strongest Persona users in the entire Persona verse. His raw power is already multiversal scalling to how he nearly stomps the Thieves plus Joker and Akechi at every turn. Combined that with actualization and Gg Pucci. "BUT INFINITE SPEED" Yes i know He is fast and knows how to brainwash people, however thats Not going to matter if Maruki can simply actualize Pucci, never having a stand, brainwash him via merely Thinking no touching required or just unleash an attack of a Universal scale and reach to wipe Pucci out, terrify him via fear ailments into running away etc. Thats Not menzioning that Persona has some crazy speed feats too and Pucci would have to grow into infinite Speed Most likely. And marukis sheer willpower and strenght would also make harming or brainwashing him likely impossible. So Pucci in the end couldnt best the gentle madman.

Jojo vs Persona matchups in general lost their splendor for me after Persona 5 came along and solidified multiversal feats for the verse.

@@jamievania7168 I'd argue Adachi would beat Kira due to better range and AP stomp, but Kira *does* have win conditions. But that's like, the only Persona vs Jojo matchup with any real debate to it since it boils down to "Can Kira get close before Adachi splatters him all over the wall?" But yeah, Persona vs JoJo matchups just don't do it for me anymore. If people still like them, that's fine. I just wish the franchises had more popular matchups than each other. Joker vs Valvatorez and Giorno vs Touma are nice alternatives, but apparently it *has* to be Joker vs Giorno.

This... Is closer than most Persona X Jojo match ups. Sure, Pucci does have a massive spoed advantage thanks to Made In Heaven. BUT! It takes time to accelerate to that speed and Maruki could rewrite reality in that time with Azathoth. Pucci can't physically overpower Maruki, who scales to Joker who's Multiversal by that point, nor can he remove his abilities as he lacks a stand disc. Adam Kadmon took 9 of the Phantom Thieves to hold one of its attacks back before Joker managed to finish it off. Pucci can't exactly hurt Maruki, though removing his memory disc could be a way to give him a chance of winning. Most of the time, I'd say Maruki wins but it's much closer than most match ups. Edit: I will say that I'm not a fan of this matchup, I think Heaven Ascended DIO is a better matchup for Maruki because reality warping and it being more fair. Granted Maruki still wins but that's because the Personaverse is op as hell.

Everyone here is talking about how Maruki would destroy Pucci, but we have to remember one thing: the Persona universe is literally materialized thoughts. It is highly questionable wether or not his abilities would affect Pucci outside the Persona universe. To be fair, if they could then yes, he could. If not, well, I dunno. Anyway, I would LOVE to see a fanfic or some piece depicting these two debating with each other over who has the better idea of a paradise on Earth. Maruki's world without unfulfilled desires, or Pucci's universe where nothing is unknown. As for the song, I do like it, though the lyrics are a bit off. Mostly the "in time (2x) I'll die (2x). Don't get that. Otherwise, really good.

It's more complex than "Persona universe is thiughs materializing". Megaten-verse (because at the end it's not Persona universe, it's a verse with many franchises like SMT, Persona or Catherine) is a verse where the thoughs have a real weight on the cognition and the cognition has a minor effect on the real world except that the meta-verse fuses with reality or the cognition of the masses are pretty strong (Demons and shadows can also affect the real world without the meta-verse being fused with the reality). So yes, Maruki should be capable of affect Pucci (and pretty much Maruki outstats even without Adam Kadmon).

Don't take me for a fool but I say Pucci FTW, Made in Heaven starts like a train and accelerates to infinity and is able to invent strategies never seen before, the Heaven stand accelerates time throughout the universe, gives illusion on super speed and can recreate the universe according to his wishes (not bullshit), and the universe is great. Then I don't know, I don't know much about the Persona universe but I do know that there are characters that are so overpowered that they are ridiculous.

The only thing is he has to have the stamina Evidence pretty much throughout all the final battle of part 6 Then there's Maruki and personas stupid-ass scaling He has complete control over the collective unconscious and has even merged it with the real world And stated in Persona 2 EP by Philemon and Tatsuya that the collective unconscious was the beginning of reality And in the Persona 5 guide books is said to transcend all dimensions Persona is also in the same cosmetology as smt and it's hard to explain how Dimensions work in Persona/SMT and it pretty much goes like this ( there are infinite universes that infinitely transcend each other and in between them is where the demons, personas, and shadows originate from ) This puts the collective unconscious on par with the abyss from smt4 / smt4a which is below the domain of yhvh which is below the Axiom Making the collective unconscious have a S-1 level existence This pretty much makes Maruki omnipotent Dio over heaven would have his reality overriding overwritten

@@playerone602 Skull Kid and Maruki lost their lives of happiness. (Skull Kid’s friends, Giants, moved while Maruki’s fiancé, Rumi, is gone.) Then, they both found this mysterious power which would it could control them.(Majora’s Mask and Maruki’s Persona, Azazoth when Yaldabaoth merged both Real World and Metaverse.) They both have a motivations. (Skull Kid wanted to have fun, while Maruki wanted to help.) At different time, they created a mysterious places before (Termina after putting Majora’s Mask on and Maruki’s Palace before Third Semester exist.) They both have trump cards that destroys everyone (The Moon, and Adam Kadmon). Additionally, they both have a running theme with Masks. At the end of the story, they both give up their powers, moved on, and become friends with the Chosen Ones/Protagonists (Hero of Time/ OOT and MM Link and Joker).
