in a couple day i'm going to a ceremony and i'm going to wear my moms ribbon skirt i was kinda scared to try wear it. i now know when i go, to be proud to wear it. i am going to wear it to heal, to become close to mother earth. i have been sexually assaulted when i was a child and i'm not okay. i always pushed it aside. wearing the skirt will be empower me. will show me that they will not win. i am 15 years old and i never knew how to heal and to ask for it. i'm going to start my journey to not be angry.

I was asked to make the first Pueblo dress for a 2yo girl. This video made me cry yet made me empowered, inspired and motivated me to do it not just for the dress itself but know to do so with prayers of blessings, strength and protection for this new carrier of our culture and history. Thank you for the traditional knowledge. I have been gifted my aunt's sewing machine after she passed away. So much heart break this past year for my family. I stumbled upon your tutorial for making one, and decided to make some for myself and my 3 daughters. This brought tears to my eyes.
