In this video we will covering "Talakadu Panchalinga Temples, Keerthinarayara Temple and Kaveri River Beach".
Talakadu is a town on the left bank of the Kaveri river 45 km from Mysore and 130 km from Bangalore in Karnataka, India. Latinizations of the towns name vary, but include Talkād, Talakadu, Talakkadu, or Thalakadu. It had over 30 temples, most of which now lay buried in sand.
Talakad historic site and of archaeological importance. It’s not only a spiritual pilgrimage center but is a scenic beauty with vast spreads of sand.
Among the temples of Talakad, the five Lingams believed to represent the five faces of Shiva form the Pancha Pathi are famous. They are Pathaleshwara, Maruleshwara, Arkeshwara, Vaidyanatheeshwara and Mallikarjuna temples. The opportunity to visit all five Shiva temples in one auspicious day comes around once every twelve years. Also we can visit beautiful "Keerti Narayana Temple".....
