The purple and white was chosen by lancashire county council I believe I still think the green and cream suited better ,I know advertisi g brings in money though.
It was the agreed scheme with Lancashire council indeed, although you will notice most of the Blackpool Council vans etc these days have the purple and white scheme also. I'm not sure how green and cream would honestly sit on the Flexity fleet. However I can imagine the Palladium colours suiting the Flexity fleet nicely
@@alanoliver2197 to be fair, a fresh coat of purple and white would look bright. Sadly the Flexity fleet appears unloved at present with the drab faded purple colour.
The wrapped trams do a job of bringing in revenue for the business in advertising, and also brighten up what are otherwise very drab looking trams currently. I have heard a fleet refresh is due which will see the fleet livery trams refreshed which should help improve the look of the trams. I doubt we will see green/cream return as corporation colours these days are purple and white.
