@@michaelronqedar7919 Partly a theory, but in Tales of Zestiria the X, it is said that a member of the _Mayvin_ family died after telling the royal family about malevolence and the truth about the Shepherd and Innominant. Magilou's full name is _Magillanica Lou _*_Mayvin_* . I'm pretty sure she doesn't say malakhim once in Tales of Berseria, and when she describes Grimoirh (that smart cat malakhim), she doesn't say anything about her looks or whether or not she's even a human, just the way she acts. The more limiting an oath is, the more you get out of it. Magilou's life pretty much revolved around malevolence and malakhim, so you could make a pretty powerful oath with it.

Mostly because you only have two characters that have actual physical forms. The other four are spiritual beings and are basically "stored inside a jar". Those two characters were also always in the main party, in a manner not too different to Symphonia 2.

If you play it on PC and use cheat engine, you can add another follower, so meebo can follow you around the whole game along with whichever waifu u prefer. Speaking of waifus you can also choose between them.

The Tales franchise is 50/50 on the full-length anime adaptation idea. The Tales of the Abyss anime was good and followed the game well (though obviously it couldn't really explore the characters as in depth as the game could). Tales of Zestiria the X, on the other hand, is terrible.

There’s some episodes dedicated to berseria in the Zestiria anime

bestpsychosean hasnolastname Yeah, and those episodes were awesome. So awesome in fact, that they made the rest of the series feel bland in comparison. Great ad for Berseria, but Zestria seriously suffered from it. It should have been it’s own separate OVA instead of being presented as a flashback episode, cause the story and characters there were so much more interesting than the main cast and plot that I lost the desire to go back, even though I used to find Zestria enjoyable.

@Vazazell the equipment system in zestiria is hot ass, the one is berseria is also ass...but at least its not hot....i guess...I do like each character having unique playstyles tho variety is good for replayability, too bad about that whole cancer enducing equipment grind...honestly think the xillia series and graces f have way more fun and unique playstyles, but thats just me

Legit when I first heard her voice I thought it was just something subtly wrong with my audio. Turns out they couldn't at least get someone whose voice you wouldn't cringe at.

I muted the audio every single time Kamoana had something to say.

I like English dubs, but Kamoana's voice actor just did a bad job. I couldn't take Kamoana's scenes very seriously because of it. Bienfu is a comic relief character, so his voice actress did the annoyingly high-pitched thing well since it was fitting for Bienfu.

Tales is real good! You said you liked it for it's skits, story and characters, right? Try to check as much as you want, but I would absolutely check out Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia! They're sorta the holy trinity. After that, check the games at your own leisure. Xillia, Xillia 2, Graces F, Zestiria if you wish. There's also the Japanese titles with translation guides or patches. Such as Phantasia, Destiny DC, Rebirth, Innocence etc. But if you liked Berseria, I think Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia are must-plays. Xillia is also quite nice.

You should grab zesty too while you're at it. It may not be great on its own but it makes much more sense when played after bersy. Plus some people consider $50 to be too much for the game.

I don't see it for 12 bucks anywhere (But I don't own a playstation and just look up on PC so prob thats way ) and Zesty I haven't played myself but my brother did and from the things I saw I would much rather just look up a walkthrough/Lorevideo about Zestria instead of buying that stuff.

Isn't the hate for the game more biased than any "love" for it? The hatred for it goes beyond ridiculous levels to levels where they don't even want to acknowledge even one single good thing about Zestiria and callit the "worst Tales ever". Incredibly silly considering the existence of titles like Tempest, or the Phantasia sequels.

But, being a blind defender of Zestiria in the past, it's high time the fans of it also recognize what the many things it did wrong. And mainly people talk about main Tales titles than side games which Tempest became a side game.

Tempest became a sidegame BECAUSE of how bad it was. I don't think Namco even separates them anymore. That said, Legendia sucked as well and that one was no sidegame. Anyway, on the subject of Zestiria,while it did indeed fail in several manners, having seen how horribly ufotable treated it's adaptation during it's second season I dare say it could have been worse. I mean, disregarding the basics of the lore of the entire series and the main themes it tried to convey just to push a happy ending is just bad form altogether. Zestiria the X basically turned Sorey into Jesus!Sorey, able to heal the wounded, purify the sinful no matter how corrupted and even heal Dragons ! Without getting into how they tried to completely disregard the fact Dezel was responsible for Rose's misfortunes hence absolving him of his original crimes.

Ah I see,I was unsure about whether Namco was still doing the whole separate brands so thanks for telling me. As for Legendia, it was honestly a horrible idea for Namco to try and make two brand new Tales games at the same time since obviously they had to give their A-team to Abyss. Which resulted in Abyss being the memorable game that a majority loves. Also, I have no idea who thought getting the Tekken and Soul teams involved in the development of a Tales game was a good idea. The only good thing to come out of Legendia was the soundtrack, and just because Go Shiina is just that good (he's the one who composed the best songs in Zestiria).
