It’s amazing how WED was hired to make attractions at the World’s Fair and that led to so many innovations that changed Disneyland forever. Another stellar video Brickey. Thanks for keeping the killer content coming!
@@HeyBrickey they just don't know how good your content really is. We the viewers should do a better job sharing your content. I think this is FAR more interesting than new food or merch. That's boring to me.
Walt Disney Imagineering learned so much from the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair! I’m amazed to see how each of those attractions brought forth the ride through experiences for both Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion (even though a walk through might have worked!). Thank you for taking us back in time, Brickey! I love the series you have created on the Haunted Mansion. Keep up the good work!🤗🤗🎃🎃
I really appreciate your perspective as a creative you bring. Thinking of Walt Disney’s final work as Haunted Mansion being the magnum opus of his work is really geeking me out. Haunted Mansion being outside the park is a trip!! Great work as always 🎉
Wonderfully written story. This video far exceeds all Disney blogs in terms of content and analysis. The New Orleans section of Disneyland deserves its own story. It’s a land of its own, that allowed Disney to expand the concept of the park entertainment beyond the original hubs of Disneyland. It was a slightly more mature land… with its own hidden secrets, notably Club 33 and liquor service. The architecture and ambience of this land is probably my favorite within the Disneyland Park, and Mansion and. Pirates fit in so perfectly to this theme and story with its Riverfront vista and lore.
Wow amazing work. You are learning so much with that new camera so fast. And to get story telling on the Haunted Mansion from you is something I have been waiting for.
These videos are amazing Mark! I love learning more about the "behind the scenes" parts of Disney and I think you are the best at it! Please keep up the good work my friend, I'll always be watching! 🥰
Hey Brickey!! Gold standard for sure!! I didn’t realize haunted mansion and pirates were Walt’s last 2 rides before passing. Great info and Excellent story telling Brickey!
In my DJ Khalid voice “Anotha One” As always Brickey another great Vlog that I enjoy so much. Always great to view vlogs that share the genius, skills and inspirations that the Imagineers obtained to create some of the most memorable attractions that people still love today. The New York World’s Fair was the fuel that launched Walt and his team of Imagineers to a higher level of creative thinking and resulted in the some of the most amazingly marveled attractions of their time!
Great job... Great presentation. Brings back memories of robot Abe, Ford convertibles thru dino land, etc, and Belgium strawberry wafles... strange that the wafles are my strongest memory of the fair? 🧐🤓😎
Love this video!! These are my two favorite attractions, Pirates & the Haunted Mansion! As a kid we would always get to these at the end of the day, and they were the last two attractions we would do before calling it a day! I always felt we saved the best for last! Thanks for the video, brings back great childhood memories!
I like Lesson #1, but then again, later they didn't use on the Hollywood Tower of Terror, which I consider one of the best rides, up there with Haunted Mansion. And another of my favorites was Adventures Thru Inner Space. Thanks for mentioning it. I love that you talk about how the World's Fair affected the Haunted Mansion (and Pirates). I know that Mary Poppins financed a WED, but did it have any effect on the park?
I haven't seen the new Haunted mansion movie. I was kind of hoping they would incorporate some of the better ideas that Roly Crump and the others had in the early 60s before the World's Fair mothballed the project.
