Tales of Rebirth, PS2 (Tales Retrospective) 

I recomend trying the translation guide method if you can. I can set you up with the PDFs I used to play the game. There is a fan translation in the works however I do not know how far off it is from completion.

I remember watching those as they came out. I was obsessed with this series and really intrigued about the plot. I imagine if i could have played this game normally this would be around the top of my favourite games of all time

@@GiordanDiodato Well, for you it's mid. For others of others, it's top notch.

Legendia has a very good soundtrack and story. It also has simple customisation elements with cooking and the weapons / armour and how skills are learned (vs convoluted systems cough zestiria/berseria +99 G Union, skill sheet, fusion nonsense)

Also has some of the best character development, especially during the second half of the game. My favorite cast in the series honestly.

it honestly reminds me of Guardian Heroes. I wonder if the devs were fans of that game.

@@xenosanctum2531 Well, apparently there was a survey after Tales of Arise, asking rather interesting questions. "Which of the following games would you like to play a remaster version of?", which had both Xillias, Phantasia, Abyss and Radiant Mythology. I have both Xillias off of Ebay, and watched Let's Plays of them before deciding I liked them so much I wanted to get them. I'm currently watching an LP of Abybss. Haven't seen or played Phantasia or RM, maybe in the future. I also have Eternia, my first ever Tales game, and finished it multiple times over the years. Then I also have Legendia, which despite the lazy boss tuning and linear dungeon design I enjoyed a lot. Seen an LP of Destiny 1... It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't want to play it. Way, way too maze-y for me. Maybe I'd like DC version more, who knows. Haven't bothered to check. But I digress. There was a second question on the survey. "Which of the following Tales of games would you be interested in seeing released in Europe?", which had Rebirth, Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. Now THAT is interesting. Who knows, maybe there is a chance to see Rebirth. I really liked what I saw in the retrospect, and I'd definitely play this.

@@MrSardoc1 If they did do a Rebrith remake, I would want them to keep the 2D sprites and 3L-LMBS. Miss me with that Hearts R style of turning a celbration of 2D tales into the worst Symphonia combat system in the series. If they remade Rebrith with Airses combat, man I would be really pissed

@@xenosanctum2531 I don't feel too strongly one way or the other about 2D sprites. I'd be fine either with sprites or with fully rendered characters. But I agree the battle system would need to remain as it was. I'm also hoping for a Legendia remake one day, and would like the battle system to remain 2D (with modifications - make the spellcasters less sucky, and the fighters less OP).
