I know I wasn't expecting them to come in like that. I think Alvin was the first to come back for me. I hadn't bothered to really keep up with too many Mystic Artes on my playthrough, so it was a joy to see them all activated one by one.
i love all mystic arts in the final battle its taking the hidden arte we were using for combo's and turning into a mysic artes (like tiger blade, or lion howl) looks great
@Chris W, if you think Ivar's is too fast, look at Wingul's. Not only does he use the Long Dau language (which is practically the same language as the one in Tales of Eternia: Melnics), he speaks it so rapidly it's mad. His VA ought to get a medal for pulling that off.
Elemental Mastery is my favourite. It's both epic and beautiful. And I love the sunglasses, it's like Milla's saying: "Deal with it" before releasing the elements.
For those who want to know how to perform a dual mystic arte. You need the arcane arte shattering demon fang or overdrive if u use it and hold X it activates the tiger blade sigma and it works on any enemy/bosses its not mandatory to use it on Gaius and u can get it by clearing the game
"I'll show you true power! Let the spirits course through my blades and bellow! ShimmerFang Impact!" He's a bit cutoff by himself since the word bellow cuts into shimmer so it sounds like "bellosh".
It's visually and functionally practically the same arte. I think the change of name is meant to distinguish the fact that Muzet is a spirit of manipulation of time and dimension, whereas prior users of the move "Big Bang" were just dark mages, they are still tethered to their own time/dimension.
To help out here. Use the skills that have a sword icon with a yellow tip and a star, when in overlimit mode, if the attack connects and is not blocked the hold x right after it hits and the arte should activate
You build up the Link Gauge on the left side of the screen through landing hits and executing link arts. Once it's max, activate a Link are one last time to go into overlimit. Once you're in OVL, land your arcane heart without it being blocked and hold X.

Guess Im two years too late and you already know but. First in battle the gauge on the left has to be completly full then you use a special move with your bonded partner (doesnt matter who) . then use a special "Arcane Artes" (it has a special marking in the menu) and hold X afterwards to initiate mystic artes.
For event horizon Muset creates a black hole before collapsing on itself. Big bang is just well... big bang, you know. Elemental properties are different I think. So for the most part the only thing similar is space and single hit. Also remember Muset uses space/time and darkness.
Yep, and being untouchable while in the air only made it better, especially against bosses. The easy way to defeat anything on any difficulty. Though I mentioned lightning spam for the fight against Musee 1v1, makes it a hundred times easier. Only downside is there's 0 technique or fun to that way of fighting.
I should've phrased that better. What I SHOULD have said was something along the lines of: So this game's Big Bang is Event Horizon? It makes sense since both are space themed. That or they just decided to make a MA similar to Big Bang(One big blast of damage after a delay), and call it something else space themed.
Sorry, I think this is more a confusion of terms. OVL is just the abbreviation for overlimit. If you see a glowing aura around your character than you're in overlimit. Another indication is that your link gauge will be orange and rapidly draining.
Splendid exhibition as usual! But I can't even appreciate it fully because of how pissed off beyond belief the final boss made me. Fuck that boss, fuck all things Xillia. It can go burn in hell... until Xillia 2 comes out at least >_>
You know I should get costumes for them I only got the dlc costumes for Jude and millia but I will try to get them any suggestions for a good costume the mystic artes look so awesome in this game
2:00 now that i think about it, I never saw Presa's Mystic Arte in the entire game, and you fight her 4 times in the game (technically 3 though). Also, am I the only one that thought '' Katherine '' the frist time Presa appeared?
Yeah. Well, I do try to spice it up but I find that my unhealthy need to Level Grind about 10-15 levels after every boss, made the game just a little too easy for me. :P
I think if u use it in the final battle to finish Gaius/Muzet off to win it activates. I'm only assuming that to be the case cuz that's how it happened for me :P
... whoops, I haven't beaten this game yet and I think I just spoiled myself some bosses. the thought didn't even cross my mind that they could be in this video... silly me xD Cool vid though, these artes look amazing :>
