@@AGirlAndAGame Honestly, I think this is why Post ME3 fanfics for Tali and Shep are so prevalent. Like she says in ME2, she has this romance with the "dashing commander" who she didn't think she had a shot with because of her immune system issues. Then they get past that and she has all of maybe a year to enjoy their relationship, of which Shepard is under house arrest for a good chunk of that and warring against the Reapers for the rest; makes that "I want more time" line hit even harder. This is why Tali shippers all live and die by the high score Destroy ending so Shepard can get his ass up and get her that house on the homeworld! They fought so hard to have that "Ever After" and no Doomsday Skyscraper robots are gonna stop it! Overall, it starts as a somewhat sad kind of star crossed romance that grows into them being a pretty amazing couple in ME3 and pure adorableness throughout. It's also really neat how shy she is in ME2, but she becomes very self-assured in their relationship after completing Rannoch; Citadel DLC especially.
@@SmilingJack65 As much as I want Shepard to live, for whoever their romance is, I cannot, in any shadow or figment of good conscience, condemn EDI and the Geth to die so that Shepard can live. There is no version of my Commander who could even consider the Destroy ending as an option, because if the price of galactic survival is condemning people who have only ever wanted to be recognized as alive, then maybe the galaxy doesn't need to survive. And even if I ignore all that, it is so, so thematically and narratively perfect for Shepard to give their life at the end of the Reaper conflict.
Tali hits harder for me. Everything in the universe is trying to keep them apart. The reapers, self doubt, biology. They fight to be together no matter what to the point where she doesn’t belong with the fleet or on her planet. Her home is you.
@@pugtie4695 Liara is still my top romance pick for FemShep, with Garrus as a top contender. But for Maleshep, there's just no competition anymore for me; it's gotta be Tali. I will often romance Liara in ME1 with my Tali romance though

Tali is one of my favorite characters. The voice actress is amazing, she does such a great job being a character with no face. She nails the inflection in her voice to replace the facial expressions.
I played this when it first came out 10 years ago, continued to replay over the years and have played multiple times since legendary dropped. That line "I have a home" crushes me every single time like it did the first time. Tali is the best romance for BroShep imo
True. Garrus is like my Sheps best friend. In my playthrough I´m only answering to Tali, Garrus and Liara honestly when they ask if Sheps ok and don´t keep up the facade of the strong relentless leader.
Yeah she’s way better than Liara or Ashley/Kaiden I say both virmire survivors because Kaiden is Bi in ME3 but I will put him higher than Liara because at least he has a gender Romance’s rank Maleshep Femshep 1. Tali's my go-to romance for Bro-Shep. Also, with the stock photo (at 22:57 ), maybe someone else has more info, but I heard that they were in a massive rush because they were trying to figure out what Quarians should look like, so they just went with a slightly edited stock photo and they had to make a last minute change to it when someone noticed the pic had 5 fingers instead of three.
I still don’t understand why they didn’t give us an actual cutscene of her I mean seriously when will they stop treating Liara like the writers pet they should’ve gave Tali and Garrus better scenes considering unlike Liara they stood by Shepards side no matter the circumstances
All Tali moments are so sad, cute and heartbraking. The end conversations between Shepard and Tali always hit me so hard. Thats really so emotional :( this game really break us. Photo of Tali moment. Lots of fans mad and sad about it. My best romance options are Liara, Tali, Garrus and Thane. These are always in my heart and always best romances for Femshep and Broshep. Your Mass Effect videos and reactions are great I love them all :)
The one time I chose the refuse ending was a playthrough where I tried the peace between the geth and the quarians route but I had saved Korris' crew rather than him. Got to the end and a galaxy without Tali was not worth saving. Also , I think a youtube content creator needs to put Tali dancing to Shakira's "The hips don't lie". It just seems appropriate.
For being one that had to develop with a character that had been absent until that point, they really did an amazing job of writing it so that it doesn't feel shoe-horned in. The fantastic actresses involved were also a big chunk of it working. There was a lot of room for it to go full cringe and it doesn't.
I genuinely like Meer more for any of the lines in 2 and 3. Hale is excellent, and great and badass. But Meer makes Shepard a...badass nerd? Where Hale just plays a badass. Idk
For me, I always figured quarians looks like elves from the D&D universe with a slender face, wide eyes, pointy ears and pale skin. Javik even comment that it's a pity quarians hides behind mask since they're supposed to have beautiful face features.
Tali is my second fav character that's why I did her romance and also she's super cute so bonus points. Will you be reacting to anymore romances? Maybe react to no romances and sleeping with Javik in the citadel dlc 😄
Hewwo! I've been loving your Mass Effect videos. I wanted to share some info about the Quarians adapting to Rannoch. Apologises if you already know this. I just think it's neat! If you say both the Quarians and Geth, then talk to Tali on the Normandy after, she'll say that the Geth are uploading themselves into the Quarians suits to bolster their immune systems and speed up their adaptation, meaning they could live without suits in months or years instead of generations. And in the Synthesis ending, you'll see a Geth talking with an unmasked Quarian. I really really REALLY hope this is all a big part of the next Mass Effect game.
I never saw her as a sister at all and if you are male Shepard it’s revealed that she always had a crush on him since the beginning but was too shy to approach shephard about it which is why she’s not a romance option in the first game for Male Shepard.

Ten seconds in and you already say the same thing I always do: I can't help but see Tali as a little sister. She's always exhibited that kind of quality to me, but this romance between her and Shepard is awfully sweet.

@@jcoates32 Jack's is one of my favorites. There is an added level of bittersweetness to it because she isn't a companion. It also has one of the lines most flagged by however BioWare does their Standards and Practices for being too risque. Patrick Weekes wrote it, and they talked about it in one of the N7 Day cast reunions. Alix Wilton Regan about swallowed her tongue.

Dude I just replayed mass effect legendary edition and during 2 I finally got to romance tali about during almost the end of the game 🎮 and I did then during the suicide mission I chose for her to do the door cause she is a TECH EXPERT 💔 and then cause I choose Jack to lead the Second Team she fuckin DIES LIKE WTF and I couldn't reload the save since I already saved after that choice but in my original playthorugh I chose for tali to do the door because shes a TECH EXPERT and I believe I choose for Miranda to lead the second team and she doesn't die LIKE WTF 💔 🙏 😢 😞 😭😭😭 how tf does that work i was so upset and pissed off bro I cried 😭

Who’s to say humans are the most attractive? Javik didn’t really say that either he just said primitive quarians were considered attractive 50,000 years ago and we don’t know what tastes protheans or Javik specifically has
the worst case scenario in this game as someone who usually does the tali romance is if you dont have the stuff to make peace with the geth, and if you choose the geth, tali kills herself. it always hits like a truck, but if youre also romancing her. holy shit its easily the biggest feels trip in the entire series. sidenote, "I have a home" might be second, or first depending, since you get it every playthrough and dont have to betray tali to get it
8:40 - I don’t think most people would disagree with that. Jennifer’s voice acting was superior to Mark’s, and I say that as someone who plays as MShep more. However, I think Andromeda is the opposite. I think Scott Ryder’s VA is superior to Sara’s.
For me it's more of a case by case thing, I'm currently playing through andromeda so I can't speak for Ryder, but for Shepard there are some scenes that were I like Mark performance more, then there are others where I think Jennifer did better
I honestly disagree, in me1 its a case that JH is better, but from ME2 onward i feel like a lot of lines come across as too tryhardy or too intense, while MM has more of a "professional soldier" and "nice dude" vibe going on in the paragon scenes, but is absolutely cold in renegade
They’re also the romances that enforces the fact that looks aren’t everything since Garrus looks hideous by human standards and we never see Tali’s face

You can see her face in me3. After priority rannoch she'll give you a photograph of herself unmasked. Fun fact: in the original version they just tweaked a stock image of some woman to look like Tali. In the remastered they unmasked Tali properly
I’m going to come out and say it - honestly, I find this romance to be really cringey. Tali herself is a well written character who literally grows throughout the trilogy, but something about her romance just doesn’t sit right with me. When she joins your squad, she is on her pilgrimage and thereby barely considered an adult. She is, you could say, the equivalent of a young 17 y/o recruit joining the crew of the warship you are the captain of. And in the second game, she once again joins the crew of the ship you are the captain of. Quarian law even acknowledged you officially as her Captain. And it is at this point, that you make the moves on her??? In the real world, this would be the equivalent of a mid thirties Navy Commander or Marine Lieutenant Colonel hitting on and “romancing” a 19 year old engine room technician onboard his ship, during a military deployment. Think about the implications of that!!
There's nothing wrong with that tho, she's legal. also Shepard is a Specter, and Specters are above the law they can do whatever the hell they want XD Liara is also young by Asari standards, in Mass Effect 1 she's being treated like a kid by the Asaris because that's what she is to them a kid, but no one cares about that because she's a 100 year old by human standards, so my point is i don't think comparing them to humans won't make sense cause they're aliens.
and well Shepard is the savior of the galaxy, i don't think anyone will think badly of him just because he's in a relationship with one of his crewmates, and let's be honest Tali's fleet might even be honored to have shepard as part of their familiy.
@@gaspenpayne6755 Liara may be 100 and barely an adult by asari standards, but she has obtained a doctoral degree and has established herself in her profession to the extent where she says that “my work isn’t taken seriously” instead of the common rookie attitude of “Oh, no! I messed up! I’ve got to do better!” So, she is actually comparable to a late twenties entry level academic researcher looking to establish tenure. So, comparing her to Tali who is on her species’ rite of passage into legal adulthood doesn’t work. Liara is already way past having entered young adulthood. But the greater point is the power distance that exists in the Shepard Tali relationship. As her Captain, Shepard has literally the power of life and death over her. As well as the ability to abuse that power if she doesn’t err … fulfill his needs!! Or if she wants out!! That is why I brought up the equivalent of a mid thirties warship captain screwing a nineteen y/o engine tech. She doesn’t have as much power as he does. She isn’t as mature and world wise as he is. And a bad breakup goes a lot worse for her compared to him. So, technically this relationship is “legal” but c’mon!! Most people would be creeped out at this kind of “cradle robbing” relationship and those that aren’t … well, the term “barely legal” exists specifically to cater to their kind of peculiar needs. Sure! Tali crushes on you too, but you and I both know that teenagers fall into love easily and they fall out of love just as easily too! It is why an older person taking advantage of such crushes is exploitive - she hasn’t got the maturity to recognize a fleeting crush, while he does. Note that the devs chose specifically to mock Talimancers by creating the “valley girl” quarian and “friend zoned” orbiting turian. No other relationship is similarly mocked. And on the subject of, “well he’s a Spectre, he is the savior of the galaxy, he should be allowed to get away with this”, note that a Spectre’s extrajudicial authority exists solely for the purpose of neutralizing threats to galactic stability - not to exploit some kind of Droit Du Seigneur “privilege”. Think to yourself, if you are a nineteen year old navy crewman and a Spectre propositioned you, do you really have the power to say no?? If Shepard wasn’t a Spectre, he’d be facing court martial for having this relationship. Would the fleet be happy with this relationship? Tali herself states that her father would have hated you. The rest of the fleet acknowledged you as her captain partly to hamstring her ability to defend herself during her trial, which shows that they didn’t exactly respect you either. They expected you to fail, take Tali away and disappear.

For my second playthrough I wanted to go male. His voice acting was so bad it destroyed the immersion for me. I couldn't play it. Jennifer's voice acting is obviously superior in this game.
