The last 3 Talk Talk albums and Marks own are without doubt challenging beauty. But this performance, THIS performance.... and the band, all of the band, Mark and Lee, and Paul...Talk Talk. It really doesn't get better. God bless you Mark. You have touched so many of us, sleep well sir. 💖💖💖

@@qwj68boots sad just absolute sic idiots they don’t know what great music is f em! Total losers to the max this band were legends in the making miss them greatly gave us great songs music & endless memories!.......🇺🇸🙏🦋
35 years ago today,30th April 1986,TALK TALK were live at Leeds Uni and I was one of the extremely fortunate people to attend the gig ,with a load of mates. "FABULOUS GIG" would be a huge under-statement. This was one of the absolutely brilliant songs on the set-list. WOW !!!!!!
I completely agree, but the best thing is actually that those who filmed the sequence understood enough that they changed the picture to the piano after the part with the synthesizer was finished. When this is mentioned, the whole orchestra is fantastic and the interplay between digital and analog music is really exciting and in this way the best from the 80's.
From the first time I heard Talk Talk in the mid 1980s, this phenomenal group never left my musical radar. I was in Montreaux last summer for the jazz festival. Only if I could have been transported back to 1986 in order to see Talk Talk perform live in that special place.
Saw these guys in Hannover around 1985. The warm up band didn't show up, so they played extra long. Phenomenal at this time. I was expecting to see a short haired clean shaven Mark. Instead the long haired sunglass recluse Mark with the deep biting delivery showed up. Amazing. The keyboard player rocked the house too. Seeing him play on youtube live in this video does no justice to the loud wailing sound that came out of his synthesiser at that show.
Are you talking about Ian Curnow ? This guy is a genius, sadly not many people are aware of him, how come he made those synths sounding like a proper guitar solo. Amazing.
Happy Birthday to the great Lee Harris !!! and who are the 4 effers who put thumbs down ???? Really? Awesome live concert by an iconic band. yep, go listen to Bieber.
obviously, a great band and a wonderful discography full of progress, innovation and influence right to the end. BUT----I still love the first 2 albums, too, lol. A lot of people disowned those albums for some reason (too synthpop?) I love 'em!
You have to work with what you’ve got when your starting in the business. Thankfully EMI gave them more money for Colour of Spring and the album that broke the bank, Spirit of Eden. Such a shame😂 The band took the money and created a masterpiece.💕👍🏻
Proud owner of this dvd played it 15 times straight in 2 days an absolute live gig!!!! What a pleasure to have it & seen it! Still Mark still always will!!!!! 🙏👍❤️🇺🇸
Rupert Black also on keyboards was amazing. He will be sadly missed. Watched Talk Talk in 1982, 1984 and 1986. Still the best band I ever experienced live. Mark Hollis will not be forgotten. A mesmerising performance.💕
July 1986. Saw them the week before at the Torhout Festival in Belgium. They weren't headlining but blew Simple Minds and Elvis Costello and the Attractions off the stage. Awesome show - wish I'd been this close to the stage!
Year is 1986 dvd is still available got it love it!!!!!!! Even took photos with my camera at different times of Mark!!!!!! No one will be this fabulous ever!....... 👍❤️☮️🎶
This live performance was undoubtedly there best,I think John Turnbull guesting on lead guitar brought out the best in the regular lineup, mark is mesmerised by the instrumental sections, incredible to watch, thank you,RIP.
I remember in the 80s listening to the radio show Radios in Motion in Detroit. I heard the DJ play this and I was lucky enough to record it in full and put it on one of my mix tapes. The album version is good, but nowhere near as mesmerizing as this version. Thanks for posting this! RIP Mark.
Awesome musician got this gig played it 15 times in 2 days on quality concert listings that I got free now proud owner of DVD need cd of London 1986 anything ideas help suggestions!! Most of the most most underrated musicians ever that sucks rip Nark always in my heart!!............🇺🇸🧨❤️👍☮️🔥
London ‘86 - would that be Hammersmith Odeon? If so, I scored it on Etsy a year ago-aka Talking Colours! Pretty sure it’s bootleg but it’s awesome and on RU-vid as well. Persistence will get you it. For me Talk Talk and Chris Rea are tied after the top of my Music pyramid! Chris Rea fender Stratocaster master and uniquest voice as Mark Hollis puts him just ahead 🎧
Maybe when the heat's away You're fine. To put another drink away Is out of line. (out of line) It's so easy with a thief to blame For breaking every pledge I've made. Does it matter If I can't say Caroline knows? Every little accident takes time.
