Who is watching this video 2021 I am a Libyan citizen. Everything Saif al-Islam said was true. After ten years of chaos and destruction, the Libyans demand in the first presidential elections that Saif be the president of Libya.
she always brought sources from the Western Media and not relying on her on report on what what shre really see & experince on the ground. How the Western Media can say that Gaddaffi's Army kill the Civilians even if the Rebels can wear a Soldiers Uniform in any sequence & not interviewing any Soldiers or caught a footage of it. They say Libya celebrates Gaddaffi's death even though they don't have any sequence of footage in any region that there is a mass celabration they just simply show footage of Rebels & Anti-Gadaffi celebrates and for them tha's all about it that whole Libya celebrates what a delusional reports hiding the real events on the ground
@@nobalance_nb Which is hogwash. The presidential election got postponed indefinitely because the US knows Saif would win. The US is pressuring ICC to continue to pursue Saif. Meanwhile, the head of ICC met up with the real war criminal Haftar.
I think he had a strong closing statement at the end (20:00). I personally don't care for Lybia or the ruling family, but I do not like to see countries in chaos. As Saif said, people need to work, eat, and live their lifes.
He didn't want to accept reality. He should have told his father to step down. I don't agree with what the rebels did to them either. They were prisoners, they should not have been brutalized and definitely not sodomized. How can you claim you are fighting for human rights then do vile acts yourself. It makes them worse than the people they were fighting against.
@@lauralishes1 What reality was there to accept? Unconditional surrender? They had to project strength to their people, but leak documents in the past decade showed they were actually desperately negotiating behind the scenes to find a way out. Once NATO killed the youngest son Saif al-Arab and several underaged grandchildren in April 2011, it was obvious the war would not end until Gaddafi was dead and from that point on, it became a fight to the death. The whole family knew it and I give them credit for refusing to abandon their father. Family loyalty is something sacred and most Westerners do not understand. Gaddafi will be vindicated by history as a martyr. He was the Joan of Arc, William Wallace, and Spartacus of our time.

Is this how interviews are conducted? By pressuring false information over and over and over rather than asking questions? He should have just gotten up and left. This interview is botched. Though, they would probably make that look bad too.

Libyans that commented here around some 8 years ago, should come back and read what they wrote. I am sure, 99% of them will cry because of their comments.
I'm ashamed at Al jazeera for picking sides in a situation that they have little knowledge about. That woman must want Gaddafi to leave the country, because of reasons based on her assumptions.

Democracy is not necessary with armor, it's a maturity of a people where each of these latter must pass through a natural process and according to its own rational principles and values and history millennium.
How can Gaddafi manage things during the bombings when his family members were themselves killed! Gaddafi just fought until his death like lot of soldiers fight and actually he was just with few people fighting unaware of what’s happening to other places in Libya!
His interview is really intelligent, got me still wondering if he really committed crimes against his won people..all his interview I have seen on the internet is really awesome and he's an open minded guy it seems. #And this is just my opinion, I don't know this man like his ppl may know him
Most US Presidents have been smart people. Truman killed over 200,000 civilians in 48 hours. The Native Indians were slaughtered by smart people. The people that killed JFK must have been smart to not get caught 40yrs years on.
12:10 "the arms they have, they seized from your army." That would be a lovely site... unarmed peaceful protester able to seize arms from the Libyan Army to fight and defeat the Libbyan Army. You just cant make thease things up.
@BallsOfDesire agree the West needs to stay out of this. They talk about trying Khadafy and his sons for crimes against humanity. What about the US and Britain for invading Iraq? They did so based on lies (there was no weapons of mass distruction). The West needs to be concerned with what and who is really behind these protest. If your govt is open to dialogue, the leaders of a reasonable movement would be open to such discussions.
Osama gets blamed for 9/11 and Saddam and Iraq pay the price. If you think about it only countries rich in natural resources(Venezuela, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc)are the ones that suffer. It is because they want them to be puppets and when they refuse this is what happens!
Talk about objectivity! She is being paid to force that bullshit in people's brains,Qatar is no more than a toy in the hands of the Americans, they say jump and Qatar pulls out the trampoline. So basically, this is what Algzeera does here. But I admire Saif's attitude, very focused and doesn't flinch. He took her down,am proud of u Saif, May God be with you now
It is so obvious right! I can’t believe there is actually people that trust or believe in this news outlet. Qatar was one of the biggest supporters of the militias fighting Col. Gaddafi’s regime(too many interests). It still has a lot of influence in Libya and also one of the biggest sponsors of the GNA. 40+ years the country was stable and very good financially. They also said that Gaddafi stole a lot of the money and it was later found all saved in banks. Their main argument is that there were protests in the country against Gaddafi and his government, but they seem to forget that most of the country’s population were not protesting maybe it’s just selective amnesia. You can watch any of Gaddafi’s old interviews that were pretty much the same types of accusations with no basis, everything he says that was going to happen did. For some reason he was smart enough to keep the tribes and the rest of the population under control.
Thank you for your wonderful interview!!! look at Libya today can USA or Europe help Libyan people's because they have nothing to eat 2023 😔🤐 They kill him because he said Africa being one country.
Lol like the arab spring wasn't made by Westerns themselves.? And like if NATO and usa was not the actual real reason geddafi was downed u know that without usa and nato gaddafi would of been in power untill today
I like Gaddafi but he must leave now for peace to reign in Libya. I oppose the intervention of outside forces because they don't really care about the Libyans all they want is the oil. Gaddafi should dialogue with the oppositions and set a timetable for his exit as soon as possible. Gaddafi should learn to accept the decision of the majority and not put the country in a mess.
After few days his father was killed and he was captured , his brother was killed and the rest of the family ran away to Algeria. He was living in dream. The reporter was more close to the truth.
@2conscious The reason they overcame Muammar is because of the obvious NATO support. Also, don't forget that this revolution began twice. It began first after Tunisia, but before Egypt, but the first time the people had demands of reform not overthrow. Gaddafi gave in, said take any empty home (to solve housing crisis). After Mubarak, Gaddafi says to evict anyone who didn't pay for a home (his daughter owns the real estate) and everyone has had enough and takes to the street.
You can't expect every despot to just follow the Egyptian game plan... the world isn't so black and white. Freedom comes with a price and you never know just what price you may have to pay demanding your freedom. Whatever price it is worth it. Lets hope whatever happens in Libya will happen with some sense of compassion and healing in the end.
I hate that journalist she is so insistant that the western world have a right to decide Lybia's future and that Gaddafi is bad, I wish she and the rest of the gaddafi hating world could open their eyes and understand that Gaddafi is Lybia's hope of becoming a very strong country
I must say, I used to have allot of respect for Al Jazeera... Until they took sides in Libya and became the mouthpeice for the rats. Now I realize that Al Jazeera has become an Arab version of what I see and hear here in the U.S. It's sad. Long Live the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya! Long Live the Green Revolution!!
@erdal0 when I wrote that I had read that they captured him alive... I don't see anything confirming he's dead, can you send me a link on my profile if you have the story. thanks.
' There are six million people in Libya'.....'There are 2 million people in Tripoli'...... '70% of the population is in Tripoli alone'. It sounds he's quite good at math ! 200 militia men are involved in the uprising. When you don't buy your daily food, you lose the ability to count ! even when the numbers involve human lives !
Well, although i read newspaper, i am not a well informed about Libya. But... In my opinion the reporter didn't want to talk, just win some kind of prize with her fancy speak. The reporter should be neutral while making an interview. It is important that i don't know who is lying. I saw terrible pictures and videos on youtube, and other places like newspapers. But after i heard Szaif Kadhafi, i am not really sure, that he is lying, he said some clever things.
Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi is telling the truth but my worry is "why is it that the truth seems not so important but rather getting raid of show running Gaddafi family"?
@kinglatif2008 The Libyan people did not take arms until Gaddafi instructed the military to begin slaughtering them. You can see the videos in Benghazi and in Tripoli, where people in the streets were just marching like anywhere else as protests. The army started slaughtering them and the people then took over the military base with bulldozers and knives. You can see the videos, they are everywhere.
You have to ask does he believe what he is saying? Where did he get this information from? Is the regime being told what they want to believe or are they believing what they want to be told?
@2conscious i am the one that is inconsistent? i haven't said anything positive about the rebels. and i obviously condemn the crimes they committed against migrants and civilians. i call wrong as wrong no matter who does it. that was exactly my point. people that liked gaddafi somehow see all the rebel crimes but don't condemn or see any crimes done by gaddafi, vice versa it is the same with rebel supporters. I see crimes by both sides and i have no problem condemning it no matter who does it.
The father killed 5,000 people. And gave 5 million free electricity, water and education. Highest literacy rate in africa and one of the highest stadards of living. They say he likes women. So did clinton. They say he was ecentric. So was Churchill and Trump. They say he was corrupt, so was Harding. They say he supported Terrorists, So does Qatar (Owners of Al Jazeera) 10,000 political prisoners. The Shah of Iran had 40,000 He clung to power for too long and wanted his son to suceed him, All Saudi kings since 1940s Killed or imprisoned Journalists, MBS get a fist bump. Ghaddafi was the typical embodyment of all US Leaders and its allies for the past 100 years
@syndicatestunner ALL "journalists" are PROGRAMMED & REQUIRED to serve the policy & interests of their country & the corporate interest of their employer (publisher). Therefore,,, There's no such thing as "free media".
@huuhuu1212 looool I meant us , like all of us, not the United States people , I am sure that most american people don't even know what's going on in the middle east right now .
