Just because she was married to her it does not mean she should take her child Zena has all rights to live her own life with her ex-boyfriend calling her a hoare I am glad Zena mother is having arguments with her to give her granddaughter its fireworks fighting quarrelling troubles between these two mother innlaw 😮😮😅😅can't wait to see the ending of this brilliant movie 😂😂

I felt Toyo's pain and could see his hurt. Well played, Deza. Everyone wants what is best for their child, so I can understand Ruth's mom POV. But for peace sake, 3 years of mourning is a very long time, especially for someone she didn't really love. Where Zena went wrong is moving into her in-law's house upon returning from the states. Now her in-law wanted to be in control and tell her what to do... This is 2024, and nobody is waiting for a dead person body to be cold in their grave before moving on and especially being in their 30's. Mother-in-law better go sit her ass somewhere as she continues to mourn her son. Btw her bestie was so genuine to her, you dont really find that now a days. Good job, Ruth and Deza. I enjoyed this movie...
Story of my life, i was bold to say no to their terms , they took everything from me cox i refused to stay with them in south Africa with my son and never to remarry before i can have access to my late husbands properties. Even though i never thought of remarrying anytime soon , i was never going to be a puppet to anyone. I rather stay in a single room apartment with my son and be happy.

I love this movie. This side of Ruth is addictive! The emotion in this was so raw. I teared up when she did, felt the frustration, the love, the hunger for the man she loved. Well done!

Young African widows go through it. Spoken from my own experience. Like we are expected to be the living dead. We can't rewind back time but are not allowed to go forward. The journey is a rocky roller coaster. This movie does a good job of exploring the confusion, emotional chaos and some of the restrictive dynamics involved.
