Talking about autism! | Tom Stoltman 

I have just shown this video to my 9 year old daughter who has autism, she wanted to let you know that she thinks it’s incredible that you’re the Worlds Strongest Man. Hugely inspirational.

I too have autism. And Tom is a great guy. Tom remember that tall tree's need strong roots (Luke ) and strong stable foundations and positivity (shinade.) Be good. Love you man. Your go far and I hope to meet you one day. GB

I live near Tom. I saw him a couple of weeks back on a freezing cold misty morning about 6:30am IN THE SEA doing his cold water therapy. I could only sit and watch on the beach in awe. What a man

I have spent many hours and sleepless nights watching videos and reading articles trying to understand my son’s autism. It’s people like Tom that inspire me, inspire my son and help lift the stigma that an ASD diagnosis comes with. Thank you

I watched you recently win the strongman competition and I have this habit of imagining watching my 6 year old ASD son also doing sports like a neuro-typical little boy and you have just given me such a enormous sense of hope - you are truly a super hero to all kids out there - thank you for sharing this -xoxoxo

Everyone who suffers with Autism independently knows that we all suffer with change, in anything. Plans being cancelled, days out being postponed, friends cancelling plans. We all know it’s so hard to accept the change easily. Tom is a huge inspiration to me. Being diagnosed with autism at the age of 9, the doctors telling my parents I will never leave the house, have no friends, never have a job and be home bound for the rest of my life. My parents were near devastated but supported me anyway. Now I am 20 years old. I have a full time Job, I play Senior Rugby & Darts, I pay all my bills out of my own income, I got a car that I pay for and I got a great group of caring friends and family around me. To the Doctors that tried to seal my fate…. Fuck you all.

I have autism too and sometimes it's a little hard to clam down for the way I process it but soon I will find a way to change the process. because you helped me realize on how and what autism is made of.

After being diagnosed with autism when I was 11 years old, I know what it's like being bullied in school and being told I would never do anything with my life. Tom has really inspired me to chase my dreams and never give up, he has really made me realise that I don't have to be worried about having autism and that being different doesn't have to be a bad thing. I have proven everyone who ever doubted me in my life wrong because now I'm a hairdresser and I've had a boyfriend for 3 years and I couldn't be happier

I was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome when I was ten years old and it was still a stand alone diagnosis though I know it isn’t a diagnosis anymore and is now just autism

I'm 20, I still struggle with autism. I think about everything, I had to leave school because I had a hard time socializing with other on topics, very hard for me to pay attention. My biggest fear is trying to transition alone, and it scares me because I don't want to be alone and feel unsecure while I'm 20 my social level and behavior is of a 17-years-old and it scares the life out of me. How will I survive, how will I find a job all these things to worry about because on that level of not being high I just wonder what I can accomplish and how hard will it be. I've really wanted to join the army or navy but there's so many steps and it's just so difficult... (edit this video made me cry)

im 25 i never knew what was wrong with me or that i had autism till a few months ago, just because my family didint want to do "unessesarry tests" cause i already had adhd and thats all that was the problem with my schooling. i felt like a complete waste of human life until i found out i had autism so what ever you fucking do your kids tested if you think they might have it cause ill be real i had no shits left about living i was eating one meal a aday and it was just chips i only turned around recently cause i got a cat and i have to actually live a good life to take care of it. so again care about your family
