Wow guys, your doing so great. I would lose my patience and treat those rude bastards exactly the they treat you. How can’t they be thoughtful and make the place accesible’s for you too. You are great and perfect just the way you are. So don’t be insecure and certainly don’t feel awkward. Better is that you embarrace them. Say something in general where those people need to question theirself of the way the behave isn’t rude. Hopefully they will see that the take the wrong way when they react like this. I can be so angry of that kind of people who are feeling theirselves better than any other person. Don’t ever let you holding back from the things you love. They really don’t worth it. Love sabrina

People can be so rude and it can be really frustrating but all you can do is rise above them. Thank you so much for watching! all the best.

Hi Jon and Shannon! This video is really interesting. I have similar issues myself, especially since my mobility got worse in 2010, and now I use crutches to get around. I know you said that you and David feel self-conscious when you're out about asking people to move for you, but don't. Disabled people live in a world which was not designed for us, and so for people in wheelchair, the tables are too close together. So automatically, you're at a disadvantage. People won't mind you asking. You sholdn't have to ask people to move, but what I would say to you and to Shannon, don't feel bad about it, it's not your fault. I know it's an issue and I know how you feel, but be confident in yourself. About going to the bar Jon, if I go to the bar in a pub, I ask the staff could kindly bring the drinks to my table. In my experience, bar staff are more than happy to assist. When you get back to the table, Shannon will be sat there waiting for you to come back with the drinks. It will give you the same experience Jon, as an able bodied person. With lifts, I've learned to make it clear to others, that I need to get out soon. People are only too willing to make way, but you have to tell people that you are there. Some able bodied people just don't know what to do. They just freeze! so this is why you have to tell them that you are there. You are not being rude. Well done on surviving the German market. I don't go to these because they are quite busy. I would like to go to one though. Who know, may go to one this year? Washing up: Jon, doing the washing up isn't a race! Although i'm guessing that standing would be an issue for you, as it would me. There's also a potential slipping issue, if water gets on the floor. But you could sit on a stool and do it. You could both take it in turns, so one day one of you does the washing up, and the other day, one of you does the drying. If you're both doing it, you're doing it in parnership, as a team. I know how you feel now, Jon. Shannon, let Jon help you. You may be able to do it quicker yourself, but let Jon help you. Regarding your college work, just do it at your own speed, Jon. Because Shannon or other people can do it quicker, it doesn't make you less of a person. Because you are doing it at your own speed, that gives you extra time to think about what you are doing, and you may end up with a better result, once completed. Believe in you abilities, and what you can do. I know you will have your own techniques for doing things like tieing your laces, etc; but don't be afraid to ask for a bit f help now and then. Carry on as you are jon. You're going just great. :)

Dean, this is a lovely comment I really enjoyed reading it put a smile on my face. You're so right the world isn't designed for disabled people so we are naturally at a disadvantage I have never really thought about that. A couple of times I do get the staff to carry my drink for me and a couple of times they have offered without me asking which is good because Im not gonna lie I do feel a bit awkward asking most people are happy to help through it's worth saying. Sitting on a stool or something though is a great idea for washing up because my legs do get tired after a while and if Im sitting down I am less lightly to smash anything. Haha, that made me laugh "surviving the german market" Haha... Although the German market is very busy I would definitely recommend going to one because it is a really lovely experience and atmosphere, just take it at your own pace and have someone who can help get you through the crowds. Thank you so much mate for your comment I definitely do need to believe in my abilities and my self a bit more, It will all come with time and experience though I guess. Generally really liked that mate so thank you for taking the time to write it out and I whole hearty appreciate your encouragement, advice and support. Have a good one mate!

Thank you for your nice comments too, Jon. I've always fancied gong to a German Market. I don't think there is one in Blackpool towards Christmas? We had our Christmas lights here in Bispham turned on by th mayor od Blackpool, It was lovely to hear all the children so excited, and everyone singing with the Brass Band. Mum and I just sat in the car andlistened. We were in the village fo about 25 minutes. I do tend to walk at my own pace, and I am okay with that. :) P'S. It would be really good it you and Neil Bradley did a video together one day.

As always Jon, an excellent video from you and Shannon. Your girlfriend is an absolute star and it’s lovely to see you both very happy together and supporting each other. I can personally relate to what you spoke about with crowds, I find crowds very scary I suppose now because I’m unable to move quickly like able-bodied people. I can also relate to not being able to do things as quickly, I find this particularly distressing at times. I know you’re very busy at college Jon, nevertheless I always look forward to your videos as and when you’re able. All the best to you and Shannon, Neil.

Thank you mate, I am really glad you liked it. Not being able to move as quickly as able-bodied people is definitely scary and nerve-racking for me too because you can see everyone moving so quickly and you just feel so unstable. It can really affect you mentally when people do things faster than you but I think we just have to accept that we will just do things slower and that ok. Thank you I really appreciate that mate, it bothers me when I am not making videos but I really do appreciate you watching I haven't forgotten about our video, I will DM sometime. All the best to you too :)
