I had always seen the storage bin in the garage with G -body written on it but, had no idea you still had all the G-bodies! I always liked those Monte's when Dale ran the Wrangler Car in Nascar. My best friend in HS and his dad built a 3.8 Turbo V-6 out of a Regal and ran it with a Muncie 4-Speed and a 280Z rear end. They put it in a '71 Datsun 510! They took it to the drags when I ran my '55 a couple of times and even ended up running it against some 8 and 9 second Buick GN's. I still have the videos! The GN guys were impressed with the Datsun too! It ran a full second slower than my '55 Bel Air but, ran the same MPH as mine. The reason it was a second off was because it spun the tires in every gear off the line and, after finally hooking up in 4th, it pulled pretty hard! It was a real sleeper! They sold it to a local street racer who blew it up about a month later🤦. The Monte should be a fun build with the E-85 and mechanical secondaries! It would make a great drag strip video tuning series where you see how much you can improve it from the first baseline run with tuning! As always, I'll be watching!
Can’t wait for the Gbody content the first Turbo Regals was Called Sport Coupes Which nameplate was replaced with T Type in 83 the grand national debut one year earlier in 82 with black and grey two tone paint gotta love gbodys
Plans for the Monte build sounds exciting! Should keep content on the channel fresh and enjoyable between that, the 4 door and finishing up Steve’s 55 👍🏻
That’s quite the Monte stash you’ve got,smart of you to grab ball those cars even if just for parts, getting a little hard to find good parts for those. Too bad on the glitch on Steve’s car, at least it’s not too major of a fix.
