Today we team up with fabulous lelda animator and friend of the channel Mr Hylian Bricks to discuss the upcoming release of the first official lego Zelda set: 77092 the great deku tree. and we hear his thoughts, opinions and everything in between regarding how he plans to use this set for his work and predicts the future of lego Zelda!

I think that Lego made BotW Link’s hair gold so that it could be displayed in the darker hair and the lighter hair without including two hair pieces.

it is the right shade for the in game model, we just didn't expect it, plus there is no way they would include 2

One thing I want to experiment with is the GDT's foliage, swapping out different colored leaf and flower elements to change the seasons or the species. The BotW tree is very blatantly a cherry blossom tree; the OoT's species is non-specific but I think he'd look good with some acorns added in to be a wise old oak.

@@octanethermoplastic That's the one! There's also a little round tile with an acorn printed on it that I could use, depending on how I worked the build

I think that acorn tile is in the set, top of one of the trees, representing chickaloo nut. not enough but nice to know the designers might be on a similar wavelength

@@octanethermoplastic The leaf piece from the OoT build does come in yellow-orange, so I can try an autumn palette.

as an owner of the treehouse ideas set for which I prefer the autumn leaves, I approve of this idea
