Looking at the clips in question, during game 6 of the 1985 World Series, the only possible way that call would be correct is if the pitcher's foot being on the bag interfered with the base runnner. The base runner did trip on the pitcher's foot at 1st base, and he rolled down the line after being tripped up on the play. I'm not sure on the exact rules regarding that play, given the circumstances. But the fact remains he was OUT at 1st base, but the umpire called him SAFE.

Tim Dillon once said during one of his show rants that if you are getting shitfaced and smoking weed everyday after you hit 30 years of age it becomes sad because at a certain point people begin to see that you are a mature adult that is still acting like they are in their 20s. It’s hilarious that he talks about how really sad it is watching someone who are older who never really grows up. The Peter Pan Syndrome……but you know people can put whatever they want inside their bodies as long as it isn’t hurting anyone else but I completely get where Tim is coming from. But ya adults can decide to put drugs in their bodies but that perspective really hit me when I turned 25. It’s super fun to mess around with drugs and alcohol in your 20s but then you either become addicted or it starts to really wane on you in ways that you wouldn’t think. Some people handle drugs and alcohol better than others though. You start to realize that there are other things you can do with your time. Let people do what they want though and don’t judge.
