Once again you had a wonderful conversation with Rico. Thanks for taking us subscribers along for the ride. Love the channel. Keep up the great work. 👍✌️😎😁🍀🍀🍀🍀🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Rico is probably the coolest dude racing WoO and everything else in the world. He's humble, he loves the fans, and he is one hell of a smart racer. At Eldora years ago, I remember him squashing the cushion under caution. I thought, 'Wow man this guy is some kinda devious racer.'. GO GO RICO!
Rico is a man of small stature but with a heart of gold taking care of others and always taking time to talk to the future of the sport, young kids. When racing if he is behind someone he reminds me of a shark that smells blood in the water, you can't shake him. Good luck down under Rico.
He’s good, at first I was disappointed he didn’t make it in NASCAR but so what. Half of these guys wish they were doing what they really love. So important in life, making a good living at the same time.
Rico is an absolute wheelman behind the wheel, great man also! Awesome podcast Kenny! Wishing you a Early Merry Christmas and Go Gettem at the Gateway Nationals!👍
Kenny,Hermanator, your videos are always good as your on the same level of playing field from a racers standpoint, but this tops even the Tony smoke Stewart conversation.Ive watched Rico race, but in watching tv etc you dont always know how they started or who they truly are and I must say,Rico your both talented driver, articulate, thoughtful, not braggadocios and now we know the maturity of a man that respects his parents and what they have produced and #1 your a dog lover lol.Hope you have success in aussie land and continued success in life.
Man I love both of you guys! I have seen both of you race, one in Phoenix and one at Skagit Speedway in Alger Washington. Herm you are a personality 😂. Rico you are very cool and I am thrilled to see you and Herman are cool!
It’s interesting to me that he talks so much about the ‘business’ side of what he’s doing; 20:58 because few have done that publicly in the past, and even recently other than KB, Harvick, McDowell, Stewart a bit… few do that. Dale Jr did it though his conservative, mindful personality makes it less pronounced or overt. In my opinion part of that is actually a reflection of individual confidence- the confident racer isn’t afraid to talk about ‘the business’ while most merely thank their sponsors or the fans. So it is intriguing to me that Rico highlights the “Three Legs” of a racing business while not sidestepping the fan base. The team enables the package, the sponsors derive value from the function of the team, and the marketing provides income for the team while increasing value for the sponsors, the promoters, and the fans benefit. 37:43 “we know racing’s not real” Kenny acknowledges what I just wrote (in spite of him tactfully following that with ‘it’s a sport.’ 40:50 - 41:17 Rico sums it up again: he’s a businessman first- following the structure of marketing ‘story’ first and developing the presentation ‘story’ to become more valuable; =momentum
Rico I love your attitude and your so Humble and Jealous at alot of times, wish I was more like you. Your Happy all the time and unlike a lot of drivers when they are losing all the time and getting thr butt kicked on race track, they aren’t very approachable after a bad few nights. Why I Love Rico he can get his butt kicked every weekend but can still go in the Pits and get a smile and conversation out of Rice and that’s why he has the Fan base he has. An for that I’ll end with Good Luck Rico in the “2024” Season buddy win lots and most importantly be Safe out thr buddy love ya and looking forward to seeing you in my home state of PA brother!!!!
If there was one guy that I felt whose career in NASCAR deserved a second chance, I would definitely say Rico Abreu is one of them.... Glad that he found his niche in dirt racing, however.....
Went to see world of outlaws sprint cars couple years ago and my wife went to talk to Rico there and he walked away and went into his trailer!!! So went from being a fan of him to screw him now !! Didn't say a word just turned and walked away !! Seen him Win at Chili bowl ND different tracks thru Midwest won't support him anymore
Met Rico at Talladega, he was an arrogant asshole. He may have been having a bad day and i caught him at the wrong time but I will always remember him as an asshole. Be nice to the people racers. Fans NEVER FORGET!! NEVER
Rico is good but i just can't get behind him. I have this thing where i like people that have no safety line, no fall back plan, no plan B. Earnhardt Sr raced and lived the way that he did, because without racing, there was no milk or bread on the table. Like i said, no denying how talent, he seems like a good guy, but that safety net is what holds me back from cheering him on.
