We fostered a cat who's meow sounded like "hello", or more accurately, "helwooooo". It never stopped being hilarious.

He's trying to tell everyone who the murderer was. It was Oh Long Johnson.

We return to the subject of the author's dog, Long John, the father of Don Piano. Once again, there's mystery: what is Long John's day? Could it be a happy occasion, such as a birthday? Or, a sad occasion, such as a funeral? This mystery is never resolved, leaving the poem on a bittersweet note. "Oh that long long Johnson" The final line is interesting. On a superficial level, the repetition of "Long Johnson" after the line about "Long John" is merely filler, to bookend the poem, ending it as it began. I believe it goes deeper than that. As discussed previously, this can certainly be interpreted as a love poem between the author and Long John's Son, Don Piano, meaning this line could very well be a clever double entendre.
