I haven't been out since December 23rd! I live my life vicariously through you! I love when" we" go on little trips! Your driving is terrific. I don't know anyone that is 85 that can keep up with you. I'm going to be 75 February 11th and I feel so much older than you and act much older! Your voice is beautiful and so pleasant to listen to! I am rationing eggs. They're $5-$6 per dozen here. I do buy organic free range, but still. Eggs used to be what you could use to stretch out the groceries. Oh well. I enjoyed seeing where you used to live and raised that beautiful family that you have. Lovely! I'm sure that you have many wonderful memories of that place. Moose likes a "regulation" haircut, but I too can see that he has handsome looking curls and waves, which would be fun to see grown out longer. Freestyle. I was thinking about the gray tunic you wanted from Walmart, and wondered if you could order online? I used to be a personal shopper,and can't resist the urge to find an item for a customer. Imagine the same gardener being at your old home these years later! That beautiful green necklace I believe is paua shell, which is a particularly pretty type of abalone. It would have been dyed green, but the beautiful natural inlay of the shell makes for all those patterns. St Pat's Day for sure!

Wow! You made out on that gray matching sweater. That is such a sharp outfit and you really look nice in it. Isn’t is wonderful when you find a match to something you previously have in your wardrobe. Also, the green glass necklace and matching bracelet is really unusual. If I may suggest and I do this all the time when I want to lengthen my necklaces. I use a plan silver or gold chain bracelet and attach it to the necklace to lengthen it. You can tuck the clasps under a collar or turtleneck sweater behind your neck. It was so nice of you to take take us along to see your beautiful home where you raised your children and made so many special memories. After we moved from our home of 47 years I could not go passed the house for 2 years. Finally, when we did I noticed there is still a part of me there in the flower gardens and landscaping that I planted many years ago. So I guess I left a little piece of me there which made me feel good. Also, where I live now about 30 miles south of Philadelphia in the countryside we have been experiencing a shortage of half and half and cream the past few months not only at Costco but at the Acme and Giant. As well as distilled water. I guess a lot of people here are using distilled water for their humidifiers in their homes. It was great chatting with you today. What a lovely gray suit, matches perfectly! Love those nostalgic trips; I've been back several times to see the home where I grew up in Indiana. Over the years I've seen it in some sad states of disrepair and then fixed up & loved again. On the subject of eggs...😳 Just ridiculous. I buy them in the 18 ct size, and they are almost $9 at Walmart here in West Texas. So no, it's not just on the west coast. Thanks for a lovely, chatty video once again! Good morning Nanny and Moose. I was waiting to see you again, it’s always a pleasure to be with you. I was surprised to hear about the eggs problem because that is also happening here in Lisbon so far away from U.S. Not only because the increase of the price, but there are no eggs in the supermarkets shelves or are practically empty. What they say here is that the problem is due to the price of electricity. As it’s very cold, the hens need heat to lay their eggs but producers cannot or do not want to spend so much money on the electricity. It’s not official but that’s what we’re told. Here don’t talk about influenza tipe A, but we know that some people caught it this year. What certainly we know it’s there are no eggs in the supermarkets and in general stores. It never happened in all my life. Love you and God bless.

You can just see that love is the very essence of your family. 🐣18 eggs are 9 here (SC) mostly not avail. & Xtra Lg are tiny. I use flax eggs or other alternatives for baking so I can use boiled egg in my salads and for breakfast. It's not just eggs - produce has doubled in price, is rotten & half the size it was. And I have not seen 1 piece of Pacific salmon - froz or fresh - in about a year. Just to end on a good note ☺ I do love salmon patties & there seems to be lots of canned Alaskan salmon available😊 ♥Love you two!

Nanny< I love what you found on your shopping trips. Fabulous and the green is gorgeous. Sweater and pant absolutely lovely and you wear it so well........I absolutely love it! You wear your clothes so stylish and nicely and I love that you dress as you do and care about your appearance. I need to do better with that as living in the country in cold, sweat pant and sweat shirts keep us warm! The grocery stores are out of reach on so many of our "normal" items. I find myself testing what I really need. We stopped at base to pick up meds and after that to commissary and eggs were 1.61 a dozen. Eighteen were 2.78. I feel like if we have eggs we can always bake or do scrambles etc........but it frightens me to think of no eggs. I would love to have some of my own chickens to tell the truth. I may have to try it this spring. The price of groceries is unreal to us! Lovely video and I so enjoy your trips and treasures. Your ranch home was absolutely a DREAM........like in a story book. Wow how lucky to be able to drive by your previous home and see your gardeners!!! Looks like they turned the barn into a cute living area for people. Loved your barn red color and photos!! We call our car meals car picnics and do them all the time, even in our cold winters. Re the eggs it’s nationwide due to avian flu but for the price eggs are still the cheapest protein for people who aren’t vegan. Thrift shop prices should not go up, that’s ridiculous. I don’t know how you keep all of your jewelry straight but it seems fun for you. Are those battery candles lit on your fireplace mantle? We love our battery candles. I love the green necklace and matching bracelet. Wonderful colors. My best girlfriend gave me a green hair clip for Christmas this year, the same color, but crafted using beads. So adorable. Hubby and I did a thrift haul looking for prints for a wall that needed "something". We found a rose print with a green matte we liked, and as we walked around more, we found a second one, which was part of a set. Then a young fellow came along and told us about a few more rose prints that appeared to belong together as a set of four. So we bought all four of them for under $30. We are so pleased with our haul. We feel it was meant for us. It is perfect for the wall in question. Thrifting is so much fun!💖💖💖💖

I live in Texas and I guess we are fortunate as the prices although much, much higher than this time last year don’t seem to be as high as some states. A dozen jumbo eggs is $4.78.

Nanny, I told you how I potted my amaryllis 15 or more years ago and just stuck the pot on the north side of my house here in PHX. I only water it otherwise give it no care. I was surprised you cut the stalks. I just leave them alone and let things dry up until they fall off. This past year I had more than 15 blooms in the pot! I think leaving the dying growth helps the bulbs to make additional bulb growth and multiple blooms.

I live on Georgia (USA)…eggs don’t appear to be in short supply in my area, but the price is definitely up…I just paid $5.59 per dozen for jumbo eggs this morning…this has been the average price for several weeks. Large eggs vary from $4.99 to $8.00 depending on the brand and whether they are free range and/or organic…I think this could be a regional issue with short supply. Georgia has always been a big egg producing state. I can definitely tell you that I definitely DO NOT believe much, if anything that I read or see on main stream media…the egg situation goes right along with all the other strange things that have been going on for months. In my opinion, it is much deeper than Avian flu…!!! People need to wake up and research what is really happening…!!! The TRUTH won’t be found on TV or on Facebook!!! I could expound but don’t want to blow up the comments on you calm and relaxing channel…!!!…as we say here in the south, “jus sayin”…!!!!!

Nanny it's so good you and Moose can still get around and live independently. So many elderly have to go to assisted living homes. I love Burger King Croissants too. I usually get the sausage and egg with cheese Croissant. But I don't eat out that often....I need to go to a thrift store. Haven't been in a long time. The necklace and bracelet are beautiful. and such a pretty shade of green. I bought some new plants today. Pansies... 4 hanging pots....so very pretty. Also a big bag of Miracle-Gro potting soil. I need to replant some of my plants One is a Norfolk Pine that needs a bigger pot so it can grow bigger. Planning on cutting back my Hibiscus and Poinsettias next month and a few other potted plants. You always have such a beautiful flower garden Nanny. Anxious to have my couple of flower beds looking better. My son and I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home with a nice screened porch. We have a storage shed in the back yard. But I rent....been living here almost 5 yrs. The landlord just went up on the rent last month. From $925 a month to $1,020 a month. Hi nanny hi moose :) well here I am flat on my back! I was really excited to watch your videos today trying to catch up ! So fun to watch especially the entertainment laying flat on my back since i can't do anything woe is me ! Denny and I do those trips down memory lane to see where we raised the kids to see where they were born. It's so much fun ! we sit there sometimes and smile, and yet sometimes saddened by where the time went ! You know if we close our eyes, We can still see everybody running around doing the things that they used to do. I picked up a great little tweed-like light weight motocross looking jacket, new tags from The Loft at my Goodwill Sunday!! $5.61 for this jacket that I definitely will be wearing this Spring with my jeans and this Summer on a cooler day with white capris!! Hi Nanny, do you remember last year all the chicken coop factories were burning down (mysteriously)? I believe 25 or more facilities caught fire... highly unusual! Was this was a plan of some kind plan? I have a hard time believing a bird flu caused this! 🤔

Loved seeing your former home. What a beautiful area and home. We lived in our home for 27 years and now live 600 miles away where we retired. Our house was over 100 years old when we bought it in 1966. We learned how to wall paper the rooms over old walls. It turned out so pretty. Only 1000 sq.ft.

From TX here and YES we are having the same egg problem.. We seem to have eggs but the price is astronomical.. $7+ for a dozen and $3.21 for 6 eggs.. Crazy.. Eggs was always a cheap meal you could feed your family for breakfast and even Supper.. Such a shame.. Nanny if you want to carry over those Amaryllis to next year you need to try to cut off that wax and get it into some dirt so it can have some nutrition.. because it is using up everything that is stored in that bulb and it will be depleted after blooming...

Another thought, I wonder if eggs will be available for Easter and if so how high will they be? I don;t think too many people will be using them for Easter egg hunts. Too exspensive. People will probably be hiding those plastic eggs.

Love the green stones in your new necklace and bracelet. Has anyone also noticed, along with prices going up, products are getting smaller and smaller. A woman on Instagram showed how her toilet rolls were getting shorter and my olive oil butter container is about 3/4 the size it used to be, but prices are still rising.

This was a beautiful video. I love to go back to the farm I was raised on, about an hours drive from where I'm live now. It makes me fell so warm knowing that was the start of my life. Because if the way I was raised helped me all thru life and making the best of any situation. Life is good, it's just how to handle any occasions. Not long ago I rode by the house I lived in as a small child…it looks almost the same…I do this about every 5 or so years…it always makes me cry but in a good way…!!! I also have dreams about this house quite often. I am fortunate to live in my maternal ancestral home where I took my first steps and lived off and on my entire life and now continuously for the past 44 years.

The eggs thing is more than countrywide Nanny. It's been like this in the UK for months now. Hubby and I have been eating just plants for the last few years, so it doesn't directly affect us, it's quite shocking how far reaching this egg shortage is 🤷🏼‍♀️.
