I learned at a masterclass that I made too much movement when articulating, excactly as you demonstrate. I searched and viewed tens of videos. This one is really good and helpful. Thanks a lot.

This one is the most helpful video about double tonguing ever! I’ve seen a ton of videos teaching double tonguing on RU-vid I could possibly find. Many of them were helpful but your explaining is so practical and the fish along the air stream is just brilliant! That has changed the whole concept of tonguing that I had. Thank you Kaori. More talking flute videos please!

The story of the flow and a fish was very easy to understand! I understand that tongue does not block the flow!! Thank you so much!!!

Thanks for this video!! Just to be sure to fully understand: could you confirm that the tip of your tongue on "D" for the double tonguing is behind your upper teeth? (not between your lips/teeth as in the 1st video) And something else I'm not sure to understand: you say that the tongue shall make the minimum movements to be light, but also be low in the mouth. However, some recommends to use "Di Gi", and with the voyell "i", the tongue is up in the mouth, which enables less movements. I'm a bit lost... 🤔😅 A last thing: do you think it would be possible to have a fast double tonguing with the tongue between the lips (1st video) on the D, instead of behind the upper teeth? and if no, why not?

The concept is exactly the same! :) Make sure that the DD (some say TT, but to me, that makes it harder and thus tend to “block the air”) is soft enough. Or you could even do DGD GDG DGD GDG.., which makes it exactly the same as double tonguing, and that what I do most of the time! :)
