I was going to suggest making a video on a $500 automatic self-cleaning litter box but I think it will scare the living hell Random and Gibbyson. Sylvester would probably think it's cool having a robot eat his poo. LOL
I agree about getting one of the stupid expensive litter robots. they cycle seven minutes after the cat leaves the box and can be set to only cycle when you press a button if you have super timid kitties. they are pricey, but really awesome.
RIP Steve, Sylvester, Gibson, and recently Shelby. I can’t believe the original trio is gone! I’m gonna miss them! But I hope all four of them are having a blast in heaven.
And to clarify this is something wrote by his wife about Sylvester “ no he is still very much alive and still being a little aśś as we all know and love him to be”

ok...so Steve you have to put that box on something high. I put it on top of a tote. I also use a high sided box type of litter box to keep the stank and the litter inside the box. My dogs used to eat the poop all the time till I elevated the cat poop box. Now they can't reach it any longer, problem solved.
@@infiniteawareness2698 So how do you teach an old cat (18 1/2) to cover it's poop ? Never realized until this video why I'm smelling it so much now (it stinks I can relate to Steve). She used to cover it but no more. No other cats and no dog around to gobble it up (yuck !).
@@djg5950 It is not about covering the poop. It is about giving a high quality diet hopefully only a holistic canned food diet if you cannot feed a raw food diet, mixed with a few pinches of Activated Carbon which will help neutralize the smell. Also what is wrong with scooping the poop out of the box after they poop? If you smell it, go collect it and flush it down the toilet.
@@infiniteawareness2698 She only eats canned food now and only Fancy Feast. I was just reading about not giving them food without grain. Check the internet for the latest about that. She also gets meat from my dinner and other human food that she likes sometimes (she likes olives, cheese, butter, and milk). I do scoop it out (or cover it myself) when I smell it that's how I combat it. I've NEVER flushed cat poop. It's not good for the septic system (not on city sewer). I use clay litter (Arm and Hammer) and it clumps. I either throw it in the woods or in the garbage. I was just wondering why she used to cover it and no longer does. She covers her urine still.

1 year late, but I suspect he records random clips of the cats meowing, and then records his voice in the same spot, with what he says being related to the plot. He then would voice the cats, but use a custom voice changer for each cat.
@@kalebbrown9146 now that I think about it I remember an old video that actually showed how he did it. All he really did was mess around with the pitch until he got what he wanted with editing software. As for the cats talking I think he just recorded random clips of the cats meowing and reversed that footage to make it look like they were actually talking
Hello,Steve. About a month ago I saw a photo of a black large fang tooth crazy looking cat. Just had to check it out. So glad I did. Thank you for this off the wall entertaining video of Sylvester,Shelby, Random Kitty,Gibbyson, and sadly missed Gibson. Your definitely subscribed by me. Gotta compartmentalize the feelings. Can celebrate his life and spirit and still enjoy what he contributed and the pets he loved. Takes a little discipline. Can grieve on the side for what caused him suffering and pushed him to end it the way he did. And sadness for his wife and pets left without him. Our loss is a minor thing to hers, even though it's no small thing that he's no longer there and making his wonderful videos.
I’m very upset Steve has been gone for almost 2 months all my blessings go to his family and friends and I’ve watched his videos for years and every time he uploaded it was like a tradition it’s going to be hard to move on
Yes! Today was a horrible day and then a new talking kitty video and it's a great day! And in return for the gift of a new video here's a great litter box tip. Try using a medium cement or mortar trough for a litter box. You can find them at the hardware store, they only cost $7, the curved ends are perfect for scooping out clumps, they are super strong, have a great lip making it easy to pick up if you need to, they are tall enough to keep litter inside when cat covers the poop, and they hold the entire #42 bag of scoop away sold at costco. Cats don't like to scratch dirty litter so if you have a larger box they have room to find a clean spot. With three cats you need a really large box so you don't have to clean it more than once a day. Also I have tried sooo many litters before I found scoop away and won't use anything else. I got the flu once and didn't clean the box for a week, I have two cats by the way, and when my neighbor came by she wanted to know who I had got to empty the box cuz she couldn't smell it. She wouldn't believe I hadn't emptied it until she checked for herself. Of course scoop away has since been "improved" and I feel the quality has actually gone down but it's still far and away better than the others. I didn't retry all the others, just two trying to save a membership fee at costco and it was a huge waste of money cuz even cleaning the box every day my house smelled. I hate that! We got a kitten once. She was so small she could fit in a pint glass, so we named her "Mouse". She's now a 14 pound brat. You never can tell how a kitten will turn out to be when they grow up.

Steve is so amazing . It is so realistic when Sylvester and the others cats talk. Ha you almost made me choke on my nilla wafers and milk, that's so funny that random scratched everywhere but the box. I love your videos, they aren't like anything else on youtube, they are totally original, and I have no clue how you get your cats to do everything you need them to in the video, unless you just stalk them all day to get footage, and even then, how you come up with a story for it, so cool. I haven't watched for a while but the last episodes I watched were when you just got random cat and it seemed like you might make her talk too, and I was jealous for Sylvester, but now seeing her, I actually think its really cute, and how she doesn't always speak, she just makes random noises. Keep up the good work, your videos are awesome!
I’m so sad to hear about you Steve, depression is one of the hardest things to deal with. No matter how many people you have around you it’s one of the loneliest illness’s to deal with, the pull into darkness is nothing like anything else I’ve ever had to try and beat, that light at the end of the tunnel is not what people think it is, it’s the other side calling out to you to come visit knowing that if you follow what’s in your hear mind and soul there’s no coming back from that. I loved watching your videos mate you’ll be sadly missed by many.

Cats are assholes but sometimes it might be due to them struggling to climb into the litter box that they will go next to it. Often it’s with older cats or cats with bad joints that do this. A solution could be getting a litter box with an opening in the wall so they don’t have to climb over something. I’m not a huge cat expert but this was how my aunt dealt with her cat pooping next to the litter box.
I-am PrOxY well the thing is is my cat is just a little over a year old so it's not due to age or joint problems I think it's just him being a little territorial
I remember i had a dream talking with Steve few days after he died and his words were "Thanks for being a fan" it was a very emotional moment for me I'll never forget that day, i miss him so much RIP.

This is exactly the same as I´ve been told, so I have 2 litter boxes for my one cat. Also I make damn sure my dog can´t get to them, or else she would do the same as Shelby in this video, eew shivers... So my cat has one litter box in the basement and another one in the bathroom that is upstairs, my dog is big so I keep a 10cm opening on the doors to those areas. That way the cat can get in and out, but not the dog.
If you give your cats just a bit of pumpkin every day the dog won't eat their poop. It also works the same with dogs. Feed your dogs a bit of pumpkin and they won't eat their own or each others poop. Works like a charm.
@Ian Macfarlane I found it online and decided to try it out on one of my dogs. It worked so I told my grandpa about it and he said, "Oh yeah that'll work on them for sure." It also adds a little more fiber to their diet and I haven't met an animal that doesn't love it.

May they all rest in peace. Thank you for bringing such joy to our lives! Gibson died April 3, 2016. Steve's mother died Oct. 20, 2016. Steve took his own life on April 16, 2020, at age 40. Aug. 26, 2020, his sister, Kelli, died from liver failure, at age 42 (left behind four kids). His dad and two siblings are still alive. Sylvester died Dec. 10, 2020. Shelby died June 28, 2022.
Laurin Garcia I have 2 cats and I forgot to clean my litter box for 5 days and there was a lot of pee but only 2 poops in it.. I was confused until I realized my dog ate the rest lol
