From across the ocean (The Netherlands), just wanted to say that Steve was a big part of my childhood since I was around 11 years old. I would watch his videos daily, even though I hardly knew any English. Anyway, it's been a few years when I heard of his passing and it still touches me. He is missed by many. And, over here, his memory lives on, as years ago back in 2016, we took in a stray cat who looked exactly like Sylvester, and so, we called her exactly that. 7 years later and our own Sylvester is doing great and gets the best of love everyday. We all love you Steve, Sylvester, Gibson & Shelby. I wish the best to the family of Steve and his wife.
I still get so incredibly upset about Steve Cash. Such a talented man with a heart of gold. Loved these animals. RIP Steve. I hope you and Sylvester are happy in heaven.

It's deeply upsetting that Steve, Gibson, and Sylvester are gone but it's amazing to come back at these videos for the memories and to know that Steve thought of Sylvester as his son, Sylvester misses Steve, and Sylvester thought of Gibson as a brother.

So sorry to hear about Shelby. I'm sure she'll be just fine. I have a 31 year old male cockatiel who went blind several years ago due to cataracts. He does very well as long as I don't move anything in his cage.
Emily Harris probably not, birds live for a very long time. Parrots like the African grey and cockatoos can live up to 104 years, pigeons and doves will live up to 16 cockatiels can probably live to around 40 and conures can live up to 30.

I haven't cried even a tear in a good while, but learning he killed himself really struck me, at first I thought Sylvester died, which had hurt but then I found out people were talking about Steve himself, and I searched it up, turns out he killed himself not to long after I stopped watching and went on in life... I made a random return with his recent upload to find this out... God damn you really can't tell whats going on in the real lives of these entertainers... I don't see too many people talking about it being a suicide at all... sad sad stuff, I wonder what put him in a state of mind to just take his own life.
Unfortunately when you're audited you will not only be retired but will be taking a long vacation in jail. Best not to let Sylvester in your payroll department. .

I wonder what causes a person who seems to be embracing life so enthusiastically to sink into the depths of despair to the point where they want to end their life.
Sadly Steve shot himself April 16th he suffered from lifelong depression and bipolar. Our condolences and love to his wife Celia and to his family. We will always love all of you and the Sylvester talking cat series.
Who else is patiently waiting to see the next episode. It’s been four months and I’m going insane without new Sylvester content. Please Steve! Please make a new one!
