Steve Baker should be applauded for applying pressure on Johnson to steer us back to normality and sanity. He also did this with Brexit.

This woman is one of the breed of doctors that we so need more of, but as she says nhs doctors come straight from university into the nhs system and that is all they will ever know. She needs to be in charge of the place not just working for it.

Cancer doctors wouldn't be taking care of covid patients, so why the hell have so many cancer patients been forsaken?

I wish there were more people like this lady in the NHS and indeed other services across the country, it is an important part particularly for those of us with little money, £50 is a lot of money that those in the lowest classes simply cannot afford.

Lovely, down-to-earth lady with realistic insight of the NHS. There have been many reforms (Foundation Trusts, Payment by Results, PFI, etc) which all add management tiers with their own support services Closures of Cottage Hospitals, of local A&E, outsourced phlebotomy services. Unfit IT services Procurement costs, outsourced cleaning service, etc. I don't agree that you need a business manager; the majority of Chief Executives of NHS Trusts are not medically trained and lack insight. They should be replaced by a medically qualified Consultant. By the way, take a look at job adverts that require applicants to be "fully" jabbed, and it's not just for medics.

Don't rebuild your NHS using any American health agency or insurance company. There should not be 35 administrators for every doctor.

Have experienced a relative dying from a curable prostate cancer due to delayed/cancelled treatments during the pandemic. She is so right.

I think this woman is awesome.. one of the minority of brave GPs and healthcare professionals that has the guts to stick to her principles and tell it like it is. Her observations about the pandemic and lockdown and the consequences of it have been spot on throughout.

A great honest woman who has stood up for many of us from the start

Every time I have to go to a hospital I'm amazed by the fact that 2/3 nurses are running around like blue-arsed flies and 6 are standing around chatting, waiting to be called for something. I don't get it? It needs to be run more like a business that has to make a profit and utilise personnel effectively. It's a mess.

Dr. Renee Hoenderkamp, I admire you sooooo much, you have kicked all these awful people to the side - I hope they recognise themselvey! You have so much wisdom, you are honourable and praise worthy. I spoke to my doctor last week she wasn't interested in what I was trying to ask her , all she wanted to know was if I'd been jabed , when I said no she put the phone down on me unbelievable

And it’s NHS employed Dr’s that are working privately in the private sector???? …. Is that right??? Don’t think so???

I know of a person who couldn't work as he had a sholder injury and the doctor said he'd have to wait 2 years for the operation, so to get back to work he went private, the doctor he seen about the private operation was the same doctor he was speaking to before

Well there's two people whom could effect real change in this country and most definately save the failing NHS and many thousands of souls.

Our National Health Service would be fine but our INTERNATIONAL Health Service, which is open to all and sundry including those who have contributed little or nothing to it's upkeep, is at bursting point.

Until now, I hadn't heard of Dr Renee before ... Well ... What a breath of fresh air, of saying as it is, and has been. A credit to herself, and her mother, for instilling such positiveness. Like oneself, am a person that challenges orthodoxs es. And have attempted to challenge the Institute of NHS. That ... There is a Life outside of Covid. The current figures of Waiting list are appauling. I feel sure that Dr Renee is well qualified, in heading a team, able to break through this whole Covid Madness, and Resign a Heath Service fit for Purpose. Okay, it won't happen over night, yet a Huge Reality check has to be worked on, in particular, those who are unable to look outside of the box. I can speak with some authority re: NHS, and Social Care, being Political Pawns, of Government. The NHS has not only become an Institute, but also a Religion ...and...that is scary. This is Why the NHS will Sadly Fail (Intentionally) as they employ unexperienced jobsworths instead of industry experienced real people like this lady who do their job to help people rather than fill their pockets and the overlords from the Pharmaceutical Industry.

I am a 59 year old intelligent woman who worked hard and saved up to buy my own home in the eighties. I was told I could not follow a career I longed for or be given a home loan because of my gender. Im glad this is not the case for my daughter.

Couldn't agree more with Renee our hospitals need a complete overhaul, our hospitals have turned into care homes + dealing with people with mental issues is just two things that concern me.

Well done, Renee, your determination overcame obstacles which would have stopped me in my tracks. The dangers of covid have been wildly exaggerated, and PROJECT FEAR has had a detrimental effect on the nation's mental health. I'm 84, never been vaxed, never wear a mask, often visit crowded places like pubs and shops, mix with infected people and must have caught covid wthout being aware of it. I last saw my GP 8 years ago. I consider my health to be my own responsibility, not my GP's or the government's. The Queen is a frail 95 year old who has covid but carries on working as though it were a light cold. That shows you how dangerous covid really is. It was Boris's barmy covid regulations which sabotaged the NHS, not the virus.

A doctor that has stood steadfast, and history has vindicated her - the bulk of our GP fraternity are a bunch of ‘salary grabbers’, and the fact that not one of the 62,000 treated an early diagnosed C19 patient with ivermectin or other proven therapeutic is appalling !

fascinating Dr I have worked with the NHS for over 30 years. It is mindful of waste and duplication. I would have a total review but have someone like Dr Hoendkeramp and others steering the group. I never clapped for the NHS and I think when this is all unpicked the NHS will come out of this really badly. I was in a private hospital nearly 2 years ago and the care was 1st class but they don't have a parade of diversity staff and tons of admin staff with tiers of managers. NHS could learn from private health care.

Can't stand glasses on glass tables. Horrible noise. Get some coasters!!

Dr Hoenderkamp is the type of doctor who, if you were under her care, you would just know that she would get things done. My experience of NHS doctors (particularly GPs) is that they treat you primarily as a patient rather than an individual; usually with zero (or feigned) empathy. No wonder her fellow doctors distanced themselves from her: This woman evidently has integrity, which I feel is basically absent in most (I’ve come across) doctors.

I agree with her .......... the NHS in its present state is not fit for purpose....you could throw the whole GDP at the NHS and it still wouldn't change. Getting into my GP surgery is like getting into Fort Knox !

Funny, I would have thought we were roughly similar in age. I did sciences at state school in the south east, half the class were female and it was wholly unremarkable.

If I ever wanted to privatise the NHS, I wouldn't call it privatisation, I'd call it incremental reform.

We need people like her in charge

My worry about more people taking out private health care is the fact its going to get bigger and the best doctors are going to move over to the private hospitals where they will be better paid. This would leave the NHS with the also rans.
