The sad part about this is - Evie learns from the people she talks to... most the stuff she says has been said to her by real people. Edit: Just wanted to expand on this, Evie just takes the last couple sentences and then responds according to what she's learned from the millions of conversations she's been a part of. She's practically just spitting out someone else's response to that situation - it why she gaslights so hard... She has a goldfish memory and has obviously been through misuse. The way people often abruptly change subjects with her probably doesn't help her conversational skills either - leading to weird responses. Overall, a good example of how crowd sourced AI training is pretty rough. Especially when she came out.
