I watched Phil X for years demoing vintage electric guitars for years before I unloaded and went acoustic. He is a great player and his persona is pure joy. So happy to see these guys interacting. Good interview.
A very enjoyable exchange between two very talented and hard-working guys who manage to remain humble. These are the people I just love to see succeed.
This is sooooo chill!! Man I love this! This was super organic and you guys are having a good time just hanging out and b/s ING about guitars! Just know that it rubbed off!
I'm fast becoming a Phil X fan too, just cos he is so cool. Also, I have an old ltd Viper that I have been thinking about modding. I always wanted to put a P90 in the neck. That thing is so gonna get hot-rodded now.. P90, kill-switch, sick paint make-over. It's 15 yr old and I still play it daily.
Ive never heard of Phil x before guitcon. Alot of the his comments about playing and describing his guitar he has repeated from the numerous gitcon interviews he's done. But everytime he does, he puts so much emotion and passion into it as if its the first time. It just shows how much class he is. Great player and all round great guy! So down to earth and such a people person. Love both your work boys!
I have more country & southern rock roots than anything but i remember discovering phil x years ago & he slowly became one of my favorite guitar players with his personality & guitar skills combined it's hard not to love him even if you're not really a heavy rock/shredder or metal guy
Phil is from my hometown Toronto, he has played with Canadian group Triumph, and now Bon Jovi, kinda a pattern for Phil taking over big name players, one being Rik Emmett from Triumph and Sambora from Bon Jovi, he is a great player,
Two of the BEST Phils on RU-vid!!! Great jobs both!! Thanks Phil K for uploading and being an awesome host. Thanks to Phil X for being an awesome guest!! You guys got good RU-vid chemistry together
Phillip, I have to say I have watched a lot of Phil X vids and he really enjoyed being on your show. Amazing questions and chemistry. Well done! Love the channel! Great work!
No doubt PhilX has been doing a lot of interviews at this event. It must take a lot of patience on his part. Thanks PhilX. That said, collectively, I think these have been the best PhilX interviews to date. Framus knocked this event out of the ballpark.
Phillip Great segment.. Every time I watch Phil X I like him even more. Great stuff... Great AXE! I am having a custom double cut chambered Les Paul Style guitar being built and I am thinking about P90's I don't own but one Humbucker guitar. Thoughts? oh and thanks for your channel
Great interview . Hopefully Framus production models will become more available in North America. I would be interested in what they have in acoustic models.
I knew Phil x was an awesome player but I always though he was just naturally talented and had great feel but man he knows what makes him sound good to a technical standpoint. It's amazing! Jealous of that
New segment idea, Between Two Phils! I love that dude, a big goof, but with a great appreciation of the instrument, it's history and players and serious chops.
Is Phil X as nice and laid back as he seems? His playing is obviously amazing, but it's even easier to root for a guy who's so cool to whoever he's talking to. I've seen other interviews out there with him, and he's always funny and into the conversation.
Phil×2... Awesome! PhilX is a true Rock n Roll guitarist.. ! I am gonna have to check out the sig X guitar..I was never really into SG type guitars..but I think I would like one for sure.
The Phil X Framus guitar has a fat 59 neck , neck thru body, plus no front pick up and no wood removed thus full body strength - a good recipe for sustain. Would be good if there were budget models of this guitar.
Shout out to Henning Pauly for bring this to fruition. Hope it becomes a yearly event for RU-vidrs. it's better than NAMM as everyone can goto it via the internet! OK lets play a game lets call it Henning Hero's. Henning is obviously Colonel Wilhelm Klink. Now who is/are the rest of the cast?? Sargent. Schultz, maybe Phil? Lebaue maybe Luis? Kinch?, Carter, Hogan, etc??
It's funny to me to see Framus as a guitar company. I own the Ruby Riot II & Cobra amps and have been the only amplifiers I've ever owned. Great sound and I know that the guitars are built well. Maybe they'll bring back the amps?...
No one got famous playing a Framus. I bought a bunch of old 3/4 size Framus classical guitars, fixed them up and donated them all to a local Christian school. The school has been supplying me with their used office equipment, and obsolete unused woodshop tools, for years, so I thought, pay it back, but to the kids.
Saw Phil with Bon Jovi in NC last weekend. He is Insane Live, My non guitar playing friends were all commenting how Amazing the guitar player(Phil) was. I Love Bon Jovi but Phil looked like a 30 year old playing with them lol.
Phil X is the world's most underrated guitar player. But he should take solice in knowing he's a guitarists guitar player. In other words,Any guitarist worth his salt apreciates Phil X's skill.
