Warhammer is for all ages. My grandfather, uncle, and I all play Warhammer with a 70 year age gap from me to my grandpa. There is no age limit or requirement and anybody can love it

I liked how when he was talking about dreadnaughts and said the redemptor was his first dreadnaught and Nick said "I thought this was your first dreadnaught" pointing to the invictor tactical warsuit, the kid without missing a beat "That was my first vehicle". 🤣 Really knows his stuff.

I can honestly say, and you can tell that child this to his face, I have seen veteran players in their 30s with less impressive armies. Those look bloody amazing.

I’m 13 and play blood angels, been playing since I was 8, and I feel like this hobby is becoming more and more open to kids, though there is a long way to go and especially with a lot of the competitive play I have been Doing there is a long way to go in terms of acceptance, so I really appreciate playon doing stuff like this. Top 3 40K channels easy. Keep it going!

The kids reaction when he was given Guilliman and the dread was so genuine and heartwarming! Tips for Guilliman: take it slow! Don't rush him up too fast, but later game when both sides are more depleted, he is a MONSTER! I once killed a Typhus with one punch! He is also great for buffs to units, and keeping him back with some long range units, like Hellblasters, is a good way to deal some reliable damage! Later game or when he is needed, he can provide some great melee buffs as well! Shooting is great too! And advice for the dreadnought: A great source of firepower, and tanky too! I would have my rush-in melee units, with this guy supporting, ready to wreck some butts! Have fun kid! And don't forget, COURAGE AND HONOR!!!

I'm a father of three (12, 9, 9) who got into the tabletop side of Warhammer 40k in his late 30s, and let me tell you, this video had me Schrödinger-ing between a big, fat, smile and being on the verge of (happy)-tears for the whole time. Wholesome af.

Its super cool to see young 40k players like myself (im 13).

My lad is 10, he has now been playing 40k for 4 years - He hands my ass to me in a sling every game now and is teaching me the rules!!! lol (I've played every iteration since 89), we love to paint and build models together and tend to play narrative led games. It's amazing how many channels neglect the intelligence and enthusiasm of the up & coming generation of gamers, nice to see a channel shine a light on this!

This is so wholesome - I can't wait to teach my own son about miniature painting when I start!

I'm so exited to be able to build models and paint them with my kid eventually. He saw the ones I was building/building up the courage to paint for the first time and asked me so many question about them and if we could make some together. He's almost 5 so I'm not 100% sure the best way to incorporate the hobby yet. I guess I could heavily assist him in assembling a few spacemarines or something or find some other easy push fits and then just let him paint however he sees fit. (With me supervising just incase he decides to try anything funny with the acrylics)

As a 16 year old who has been in the hobby since I was 9, this is incredible to see. My dad also got me into 40k, although it was a different story. I was super sad because I couldn’t find a G.I. Joe ultimate guide book. In order to cheer me up, my dad went down to our basement and brought up a 2nd edition Blood Angels Chaplain and the Angels of Death codex. He hadn’t played since college, and he let me choose an army. The best part was the fact that I chose Eldar, started an army, and then I started Orks. Both armies were the only ones that my dad *didn’t* have. 7 years later, and I have more armies than I have fingers, two of which are Chaos Space Marine armies (Iron Warriors and Night Lords for the win!)

Little dude is pretty freaking cool! So is the dad & the guys from Play On for arranging this.

Despite being a patreon subscriber and seeing all the extra vids etc this was easily the best I’ve seen. It was so so wholesome, especially seeing how much he idolised you Nick and how good you were with him, a day he’ll never forget for sure. I tried starting this hobby back around his age and couldn’t get my head around it all but thanks to you guys that 10 year old me is now a proud owner of an ever expanding blood angels army started since lockdown after stumbling onto your videos by chance. I can relate to this video a lot. My twins got interested in the minis that I painted and now I am painting their Thousand Sons and Space Wolves lol (they're only 7). They love watching the battle reports across multiple channels. I love seeing their faces light up when they play

So awesome. Im teaching my 10yo nephew to play AoS right now (I let him pick any army from AoS or 40k, and he immediately honed in on Fyreslayers). He already had 1000 points I bought him, and on xmas morning he'll be opening two Fyreslayers Start Collecting that ill help him build and paint. After 28 years of Warhammer (on Christmas day), the most satisfying thing I've ever done in thos hobby has been passing it on to him. Not the tournaments I won, or the games I played, not the building or painting. Not even close.

I started at the ripe age of 13, back when the 3rd edition was released in 1998. Warhammer 40k has been a very important part of my coming to age, my taste in music comes from the music played in my local GW store, my interest in military only deepened, I still love the lore. Big part of my personal history.

I started collecting Space Wolves when I was 16, 24 now and I'm ready to play games finally. Got my two best friends into it as well, Deathguard for one and Tyranids with an Eldritch theme for the other. Always glad to see new armies and their respective players. All our names will be sung, for as long as the Sons of Russ walk the stars!

I picked up wargaming off my dad close to that age, and I expect my kids to pick it up off me. Its always nice to see the next generation enthusiastic about it.

I think I was about the same age when the local toystore owner was like: Hey you are in here all the time, wanna see something cool? Que backroom filled with warhammerstuff. Instantly fell inlove with the 3rd edition Necron boxart.

This is great!!! My son goes and plays in tournaments and he is by far the youngest kid in the room. He's only 13. None of these gaming channels show kids playing. I think you should do this more often. Once in a while invite a kid on and call them Next Gen Games. These kids are going to be the ones playing and promoting this in the future. Encourage more of them to play!

What a lad im 14 and absolutely live guard im in uk but love the kids army just bless him when he learns the lore on 40k....poor poor child, but my love for this stuff came from my dad sadly he died around whin i was this kids age. My dad was a huge fan of the old tactical age of empires games as he was also in service in the falklands love the kids army love what POTT are doing for us and merry Christmas to you all and to all a good purge of the heritics.

I'm 30, but I remember being 10/11 and moving into secondary school where they had a day to display all the after school activities, I remember coming over to this table that had a big fortress diorama with what i know now to be space marines defending the walls against a huge number of enemies of mixed armies. It was the wargaming club and from then on I've been hooked.
