The sad thing is, as an ex JW I can attest that I would have the same reaction back when I was still a believer and most JWs would too. We were indoctrinated to the extent that any outside information about the organisation is taboo and made to attack us so that we would think even looking at such information would be harmful somehow

But the "gentile time" people will all be resurrected, because anybody died "before" the imminent day people are waiting for 2k years, should be resurrected then asked if they'd comply to the new rules, live 1000 years, then be judged again... The "only" ones not resurrected should be the one dying at "Armageddon The Game". At least it's what I've been told in the 80's.

What was part of my waking up process, is realizing how guilty I felt for, at the end "stupid things", and that I was expecting the same punishment as any serial killer, Hitler, Staline or "whoever"... At some point I realized that it was a crazy idea, and the opposite of justice.

Because the answers do not exist for a lot of what Lloyd was driving at. Too much relies on the "faith" ploy, which is strictly by definition not based on fact or evidence. Hence, you have to let some brainwashing and love bombing start first, and suddenly you quit asking the real questions.

They don't even try anymore. It seems their only job now is to promote the website where "new light" can be updated overnight and they don't have to hide outdated publications anymore.

You don't socialize with people with the same belief AND you can't really socialize with "worldly" people because of what "you know"... Never been baptized, stop going to meetings as soon as I could have a job at 20, believing I was doomed and going to be grilled "but with a little hope that JHVH would have more mercy than me", for almost more 20 years... Hard wake up process, thanks to the new content on the internet, it was a hard road, with a long "fade" transition to reprogram myself... I can't say an exact moment when balanced changed. But I remember having a "gotcha" moment when I head Morris (IIRC) answering the royal Australian commission, and particularly the one about "Do you believe that you are the only medium for God" or something, and that corporate guy pretending to be designated by God and GB member answering "It would be presumptuous to say that". In Genesis chptr one is the first account, in Genesis 2:4 onwards Jehovah/LORD comes on the scene. He is the wild beast or the rebel God who was cast out of heaven who is also Satan the devil, the one deceiving the entire christian community throughout the world. He is a powerful God and created Adam out of dust, because what that was, it was human DNA. Eve was created from his rib. He desired his own nation of people who'd honour and worship him, and that was the purpose why he created this couple who expanded into his own set nation of worshippers.

I don't believe that the God of the Bible is feminine, but the idea of God loving and accepting gay people as they when they aren't hurting anyone--you certainly have a nicer theology than the Watchtower Society. If I believed that Satan existed, I would think that he would be the one claiming that God hates and will punish LGBT people for their feelings and for choosing to express their love with another consenting adult, and that a loving deity wouldn't do such a thing.

@@b.w.7588 I believe the bible is not 100% authentic, there are many gospels that were deliberately omitted by church leaders who decided what books should be added and which ones omitted to create a certain narrative. To have those misplaced gospels included in the bible would've totally messed up that narrative, and christianity would've been put out of business...but that doesn't make these forgotten books any less significant. So the possibility of a feminine God or entity is not entirely out of the question. Considering the bible was inspired by Jehovah who is also Satan, naturally he'd promote himself as the true God of divine love, as well as he being a male God entity. He wouldn't want anyone to even consider the possibility of there being a feminine God who could take that glory and attention away from himself, so he made sure she has been kept well hidden, out of existence. Here are some clues a feminine God exisis: Genesis 1:26, 27 "Then God said, “Let US make HUMAN BEINGS in OUR image, to be like US. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” 27 So God created human beings in his (their) own image. In the image of God he (they) created them; MALE and FEMALE he (they) created them." Most christians believe this scripture was insinuating Jehovah and Jesus shared in creation, but both Jehovah and Jesus identify as male. These Gods created humans in THEIR IMAGE .... MALE and FEMALE. So this is the first clue. 2nd clue is in Genesis 3:15 "And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” The woman was struck figuratively in her head likened to a death blow. This implies she has been totally eradicated out of all accounts in the bible and all original historical manuscripts have been destroyed. All proof of her existence has been extinguished. 3rd clue: Revelation 12:1-5 The woman (in the heavens) gave birth to a son....Jesus...this would be the true God whom he represented when on earth. He was born from her, and he prayed and glorified her. 4th clue: (the hidden gospel account of Philip) The Virgin Birth: (Jesus speaking) Some say that "Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit." They're wrong; they don't know what they're saying. When did a WOMAN ever conceive by a WOMAN? "Mary is the virgin whom no power defiled" is the great testimony of those Hebrews who became (the first) apostles and (the) apostolic (successors). The virgin whom no power defiled […] the powers defiled themselves." So the Holy Spirit is identified as a feminine entity or Source. Jesus was stating "when did a woman ever conceive by a woman?" His birth mother Mary did not conceive Jesus by the Holy Spirit, but she conceived by natural means as all babies are. So taking all this into account, it seems the true God is a feminine entity or Source afterall. Perhaps that is where the terminology "Mother Nature" stems from...
