Today we commemorate the 246th birthday of the establishment of the US Navy. We thought today would be the appropriate time to share our recent conversation with Mr. Robert Thomas, who served for the final years of active service aboard USS CASSIN YOUNG (DD-793). We were fortunate that he and his family got the opportunity to revisit his old ship. Thank you Mr. Thomas for sharing your memories, and happy birthday to US Navy sailors, past and present.
