We took the opportunity to look back over some past zooms and went of on a tangent about nature, which is always fun!

While watching this discussion, I was reminded of the spider on the wall next to me. It was in the same spot all morning. I felt maybe it was waiting for me to take him or her outside. 😂. Also possible it was seeking shelter inside from weather, preditors, etc. I took it out because I did not know what kind of spider it was, my uncertainty was the spider s experience. Not good or bad just experience.

S/he'll return if they really want shelter from the storm. Or, maybe crawl under the house! 🕷

Hearing many comments related to the " natural world ", I will share my recent experience with uninvited "winged" guests who gained entry through the patio door. The contractors doing restorative plaster/wall work and repainting had the door open to allow for ventilation. There were four houseflies and I will have to admit I was not a gracious hostess! Everywhere I went I was followed by one/two. If I was working on my tablet, perched on one corner sitting with me. Or on my foot. The part I most objected to was at bedtime, they buzzed around my head. Sometimes I literally pulled the covers over my head! Breakfast, lunch/dinner looking for leftovers. I was able to lock them in the bathroom overnight, so they wouldn't " bug " me. Tried dish soap and cider vinegar, didn't work. Finally googled what attracts these flying pests to humans? Apparently carbon dioxide which we exhale, is the secret attractor factor. Well, after about 4/5 days I had reached my limit. Not easy to kill these buzzing nuisances, I managed to swat one at a time until then there were none. I did try to leave a plastic bag open hoping they would get curious and fly inside. They weren't playing that game. One by one I flushed each one bowing ceremoniously as they disappeared down the toiletpipe. The peace I experienced in their absence was music to my ears!

Interesting share, thanks. I didn't know they would last that long inside, too bad Chelsea wasn't around! She could have grabbed 'em. ☺
