You didn't say what kind of movement you have so I'll assume its a standard German Movement. The heavier weight goes on the right because the chiming needs more power then the other two. Be sure to tighten the top and bottom nuts holding the weights together, they loosen after 15 years. Also only handle the weights with cloth gloves, the acid from your hands will burn the brass after a year giving it permanent finger marks. Al Takatsch Jefferson ClockWorks

Hi Al, You are a wonderful teacher. My parents clock had the weights removed when they moved. Could you please tell me how.. to re-install them? It seems like there are 2 of equal weight and one (for strike maybe) ?? that seems to be twice as heavy. Thank You, Penny
