Lyrics: "I’ve been bent too far to be me, And I’ve struggled with this-I’m crooked, And that’s what brings the constant sigh from her mouth I’m a disappointment and nothing else But if I get one chance to show how I shine, I’m wolfing down all fifteen hundred watts Turn it up -Looks between rather than above What the fuck do you take me for? With everything that bitch said, She don’t watch her back, she gon’ end up a mattress No one could be me better than me Step up and see What the fuck do you take me for? With everything that bitch said, She don’t watch her back, she gon’ end up a mattress Fifteen hundred watts, bitch And I’ll remind you all night You’ll regret once you’ve plugged I’m your son-I’m your star-I’m your sun I light your world Defiled, the defamation is an abstract fact ‘Cause my vilification’s an art form [redacted] Fuck that I don’t know who I am anymore When I watch that reflection, I hate me I’ll shove a wire down the throat of the hodgepodge I see Turn it up -Looks between rather than above What the fuck do you take me for? With everything that bitch said, She don’t watch her back, she gon’ end up a mattress No one could be me better than me Step up and see What the fuck do you take me for? With everything that bitch said, She don’t watch her back, she gon’ end up a mattress I see no evil… I hear no evil… I speak no evil… Bright were the lights that led me to sin Into the bathroom, I wrought throe-wrought throe Bright were the lights that led me to sin Bright were the lights that let me see "
Hey Tallah, hope you all are doing ok. Let me ask you something (and I have had this question in mind for quite some time), this song is called "L.E.D" 'cause of the actual lights, or is it because of the verb " led ", making a reference that something " led " Kungan to commite a "sin" that will be explain in the next songs? This question poped up in my mind because of this last line of the song ("Bright were the lights that led me to sin").
@@Tallah i feel like its led as in sin personally but l.e.d. shines the light on the sin thats be reckoned with, that's what i've always thought. The song is sick though, i actually can't get enough of it and the breakdown hits that awkward fucked up scratch in my head just right xD
@@Tallah knowing that, has Justin mentioned in the videos explaining each song of the album, nothing is what it seems and we shouldn't take the lyrics in a literal meaning, I'm gonna follow my instinct and say that the tittle it's a metaphor. So I'm leaning towards the idea that it's mentioning the verb "led", same reasoning as when I asked you the first time, and refering the l.e.d lights 'cause it seamed a "bright" idea to Kungan at the time. At least that's where I'm standing right now ;) I'm not gonna give away what I think the real meaning behind this album and story is, because to me this album might've a different meaning from yours when you guys wrote and compose it, but looking at it through out this album in such a brutal way, and understanding what I think that you want to stand out, my perspective in life might have started to change bit by bit. Keep up the awesome work and let's us have more coming from you :)
Thank you for sharing your catharsis with the world! I relate with all the emotions you express. Who is your favorite philosopher, and what is your favorite quote?
Not due to the lack of space, but rather the absence of his bandmates. They serve as a damper preventing him from being too powerful. If he were to do the flip in this video, that would be very hazardous to our health, to say the least-it is for our own safety.
Tallah as a whole has absolutely kicked the shit out of the metal scene and Justin is a massive part of that. The whole band is so talented and also work so hard to be at the top of their game. This is worldwide festival headline material.
Dude, how the fuck was this created in 2020? I havent heard Nu metal go this hard since i was in high school in the 90s! God damn. I hope this catches on man.
I recently watched this on Kardavox Academy and wanted to watch it without the stops. I'll say again what I said before, Justin is chaotic and weird and I love it.
I am so fascinated by the vocal singer. Hope you read this, wish you all success in this world. I usually never comment but i support what i like. The art, the passion, the technique.
I actually enjoy these vocal videos more than the album versions. That´s saying a lot, since Matriphagy was my favourite album of last year! Keep up the freak show!
ONE TAKE 👏👏👏👏🤘🤘✨🖤 As a Vocalist myself,I stand in awe. NU METAL has a glorious list of insanely talented Vocalists. TANKIAN,TAYLOR,DURST, BENNINGTON&the list goes on&on... JUSTIN is THE Greatest one of the brand new generation. Kudos TALLAH From a 51 yr old proud HEADBANGER LONG LIVE METAL 🤘🤘🔥🏴
man, i´ve been so down the last couple of days. but this made me smile the whole way through and i feel quite a bit better now. awesome performance. thanks.
Awesome job! You sold the song with your body movements just as well as the vocals! And my favorite song off of Matriphagy, which is also my favorite album of all time right now. LED would also make a badass WWE or AEW entrance theme.
Such a fantastic vocalist. The album is already cemented as a classic. A thorough well done to everyone involved, and I hope to see you at a UK show sometime! We'd be honoured to have you!
The one reason why I love Justin as a vocalist is, that he just feels every single part of his lyrics. Not even questioning his skill there, which also is beyond incredible, but that amount of „meaning“ he puts behind those words is just godlike. This seems so rare to me, that I see him as one of the best vocalists of today, among others like Devin Townsend, Oliver Sykes, Spencer Sotelo, Corey Taylor.... just to mention a few. Please, keep being to true to yourself!
@@filipkuhn9879 I already know him through Hungry Lights, but some years ago, I kind of lost track of what he was doing. So discovering Tallah was probably one of my favorite moments regarding music in 2020 :)
@@mariusmeyer3243 yeah it was the same with me. And im so glad he found a band where he can just show his skills and play live. Really hope theyre coming to europe one day :D
Justin, you have such a great attention to detail. The suit with the Overconfidence cover video, and now with the hair and lighting. All these little things that show just how Kungan is in the moment. Love it!
Not that my opinion means anything but no one can touch you vocally. I honestly didn't think it was possible for someone to top Mike Patton for me, but then I randomly stumbled upon Tallah about a year ago thanks to the RU-vid algorithm and Justin Bonitz became the new standard in which all other vocalists are measured.
Simply. Fucking. Brilliant. This whole band is something else entirely. But Justin. Man. Didn't think I could idolize anyone more than Devin Townsend. But you're right there beside him. Thank you, to the whole band, for making this masterpiece of an album. Please, don't stop.
I fucking love your energy, Justin. Your passion gives me life. Watching you perform this take causes an actual uptick in my mood that I can physically feel. Art like this seriously helps with my mental state that is often too damn heavy. Thank you for sharing, man. 🖤
Honest to god, watching Justin do these one-takes is honestly such a treat; listening to the studio version of this song so much, then watching him nail every little vocal thing flawlessly in one go is fucking AMAZING. Not to mention that how he performs physically in the studio, how he feels the music as he's singing it, is whole another amazing experience by itself. One of, if not the best, band that I had the pleasure of discovering last year.
this song means so much to me, ive had a strained relationship with my mother all of my life and this song helped me realize the emotions ive felt for so long
Justin Bonitz. Give him time, and he'll be the next GREAT frontman of metal, after Corey Taylor, Phil Anselmo, Jonathan Davis, etc. He reminds me mainly of Jonathan Davis and Chester Bennington. Brilliant vocalist.
Man, Justin just exudes early Maynard vibes from the no-blink Tool era. I can totally see him as someone who would wear nothing but underwear and bra on stage with a mohawk-mullet do lol
One attempt. Dude I am fucking amazed. I know I say this kinda shit all the time but you are unstoppable! Also yeah, the highs are ridiculous. Not human. Simply not human. Hella appreciate seeing a new vocal video here, especially for this one.
Awesome guys🤘🏽🤘🏽 I've been a metalhead for 12 years. I found you guys in 2018. You guys are totally talented. No genericness here when it comes to you guys, you are special, and different in the best way possible 😁Stay Brutal!
I have been rocking you guys since the beginning. ❤❤❤ Much love from Adrian MI. I'm coming to see yall in Battle Creek. Go see Tallah you will not be disappointed. Michigan people and else where support this band and go see them Sat. 14 October at "The music factory" in Battle Creek mi.
