From Tally Hall's new album GOOD & EVIL. Available now on iTunes - itunes.apple.co... or in the webstore at www.starz.bz/ta... Directed by Drew Mokris - spinnerdisc.com/ tallyhall.com
The last song on good & evil was actually fate of the stars They released a single, a cover of Just A Friend in 2019 though This was just the last video posted on the tally hall channel
i found this on a comment that has been thanos snapped from the video, but it said “As far as I can tell, when he has an outline, it’s actually happening. If not, his nightmares are messing with him”
@@Goofy-guy67 i'm pretty sure they sort of drifted away? Most of them have their own projects now, though tally hall itself hasn't been necessarily disbanded
The fact this video still gets views and attention daily is heartwarming to me. Like, Tally Hall's been gone for 8 years, so seeing their work still getting attention and appreciation is great.
@@krittar7567 This is probably the only time in my life I'll be able to make this joke ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SwToedwyhoE.html
You know what I just realized? Those 5 ball Mike Wazowski lookin Monsters are actually each member of the band. One for each color of their ties, those being Yellow, Blue, Red, Grey, & Green. Huh, the more you know I guess? Edit: Well, its been three years, glad I'm coming back to this video. Thanks for all the likes and replies, and have a good day to whoever reads this.
@@AndrebrahhMOM THERE ARE FREAKY MONSTERS AROUND ME wait my moms dead Ok sorry guys i don’t remember making this joke shes still living sorry for those who did
fellas, if she has four eyes, a set of sharp canine teeth, tentacles, and scaly green skin, that's not your girl. that's a clever metaphoric representation of the "monstrosity" of puberty as experienced by an adolescent
The music video plot is actually all about puberty and the changes someone makes during it, his arm changing is hair growing in new places, the girl turning into a monster is him thinking his first sexual thoughts, and him looking in the mirror is him not liking how he turned out. This is all confirmed by Tally Hall btw
That mostly makes sense, I saw one other thing in the lyrics in addition to what you've said. The kid is also noticing all the sexual innuendos all around him now that he is getting older. "Here's the pinky (innocent child's game), there's the kinky (not so innocent anymore)". "Everybody likes to get taken for turns, To see how bright the fire inside of us burns, And everybody wants to get evil tonight, But all good devils masquerade under the light" to a kid would sound as if it's about something like going on an adventure and fighting monsters, but gains new meaning with the kid wanting to find out how bright the fire (of love) inside himself is, and wanting to get "evil" (doing all the things that he was told were evil). Then at 2:04 the "it" is sex. Every teen is assumed to want sex, even if they don't really understand it yet. This kid doesn't - he has what he thought is an innocent crush on a girl, and then realizes that that IS all about sex, which to him is still a "monster".
Fandom Follower he's making a joke about how the cartoonish style of the animation could be used in a children's show (not saying that all cartoony styles are meant to be in a children's show)
I'm glad they are, I heard this song once on a fnaf fan animation video and didn't think nothing of it but someone took another song and put it to Phineas and Ferb and decided to look into them and I'm glad I did because I like their music so far
This gives me “start of a fantasy adventure introducing the characters” vibe. Like it’s a bar fight with freeze frames of the characters and their names
Cant figure out if this is about little timmy learning about love Or schizophrenia Either way the weird large zombie lad is helping him through it and I appreciate it.
Tally Hall said this song is about how puberty and growing up is scary for children, so I'd like to think that the Zombie Lad is his dad or an older friend guiding him through puberty
It breaks my heart that this band decided to split. All their songs are gold. Edit: Yeah I know they technically didn’t split, they’re on an “indefinite hiatus”. It’s just a shame to see them gone for over a decade.
I think mr grey zombie guy is actually a good guy. Let me explain; the first night he gets the kid out of that nightmare, albeit roughly. The second night he pulls the kid from the water and puts him in a rocket to the moon, giving him a peaceful night and productive day. The third night he gets on a coaster with the kid. The kid is terrified, but you can see the mr grey zombie has no intentions to harm him. His body language throughout the ride shows that. Despite the kid being scared of him he actually means no harm.
Kid: _Gets assaulted by monsters, tossed around, vored by a photo-realistic aberration, almost drowned, launched onto space, emotionally manipulated by a monster pretending to be his friend and kidnapped to a carnival against his will Monster: *_Grooving_*
@@Shtposting101 & wasn't the last song they made. the last song they made was fate of the stars. the last song they performed was the whole world and you. the cover of just a friend doesn't count as it probably was a remaster
I finally found it! When I was 8 or 9 I loved this song, but as the years went by I forgot about it (now I'm 14). A few months ago the videos first minute jumped into my mind, but I couldn't remember the song's name or lyrics, because back then I couldn't speak english. So I was very frustrated. But I'm back now!
It's interesting, and kinda sad, to think that these guys just came to RU-vid one day, did their part and then went away, only for their videos to go viral 10+ years later... They're like a Vincent Van Gogh of modern times.
Ummm I think you got on a band wagon a little to late from a little tiktok. Tally hall was very very popular especially in the art community when they where first coming out and even had cds.....
I get all these comments are all talking about how it's so sad the band ended and all, but as a young man having issues with entering adulthood, this song spoke so much to me. Thank you, Tally Hall, for making me feel seen.
I've been binging a lot of Tallyhall's videos because of the Ruler of Everything meme that's popular right now. Its kind of weird to think that a group of people this passionate for entertaining just stopped making stuff. I get a weird sense of nostalgia watching these videos even though I've never seen them before
I read in the comments of one of their other videos that at the time of making this stuff, they weren't popular so their passion died out and they disbanded. Really sad to hear sin e this stuff is honestly fucking legendary
People who loved Tally Hall and wish there was more, you may not be aware of this: Some of the band members of Tally Hall went to Japan and made a new album with some other artists, under the name ミラクルミュージカル ("musical miracle" spelled out in japanese characters). They've made a few individual songs, and the aforementioed album called Hawaii II. It has an evolved but similar sound to the works of Tally Hall. Go check it out if you care! There are some excellent music videos available right here on RU-vid.
Not to mention Rob Cantor's album Not A Trampoline, Joe Hawley's album Joe Hawley Joe Hawley, and the wonderful album of fancovers called We Think We're Playing In A Band
Uh, it wasn't made in Japan. I don't know where you got that. The album booklet itself says that it was engineered in the Laboratory recording studio in California, owned and operated by Bora himself.
Secrets: (or just cool details) 0:16 Corkboard drawings look like the Ruler of Everything landscape 1:06 Vinyls have the Good & Evil album cover on them 1:10 Joe's eyeballs! 2:15 Each of the monsters are all of the tie's colors! (Red, blue, silver, yellow, green, and orange. Casey might even be the giant spider!)
this feels so much like an early 2010s viral song except it isn't annoying after the second time you hear it and actually holds up today, even the animation!!
