The downloaded data cannot be converted to vouchers because the downloaded data from GST portal have several limitations: 1) Data is consolidated GST rate-wise and does not provide breakup of items//ledgers of same rate. Information of item rate / quantity are not available which are required to create a ‘complete’ purchase in books. 2) HSN information is not available in individual vouchers downloaded. 3) Additional information needed (party and duty ledgers, purchase ledgers, cost centre/batch information etc.) have to manually fed, making automation very limited. Although accounting vouchers can be created (if voucher type and ledgers to be used are pre-configured), this will not solve all the se cases and scenarios and will be incomplete. Hence this provision is not supported.

There are certain mandatory info required by GSTIN. When the required information is not available, those transactions will be listed in uncertain. On providing the required details transactions will be posted to returns. From your comments we understand that after migration you are finding transactions in uncertain, this possibly could have happened if you have migrated from any release below to 3.0 to the latest release. In Release 3.0 we had brought in certain new validation and checks to ensure that your return filing, online e-way bill and e-invoice generation experience is smoother. The transactions which do not have the necessary details as per statutory requirements will participate in uncertain. True, but Busy software has some drawbacks too like UI, support...UI looks clean in Tally... if they work on them, then Busy is the best software than Tally.

Tally has been designed & built to have a great experience on Windows OS. To be able to provide native support on other OS’s like Linux or Mac, we would need to design and solve for OS-level & user-level issues to make it fast, reliable, and simple to use. Until then, we suggest customers to use Tally on Windows though there are some emulators in the market that run Tally on other OS or you may try Tally on AWS.

Because i am a windows user and want to shift to MacBook and my only work on tally that’s asking if any future plans then i delay my purchase and continue in windows till tally is not available on MacBook. The transactions will only be uploaded to the GST portal the user performs upload activity by providing OTP received from GSTIN. This means that there is no automatic posting to GSTR-1, you have complete control over the upload process.

OTP is not to complete the transaction, OTP is to upload the transaction to portal. We assure you that data sharing will not happen untill user initiates for it.

Once user clicks on exchange upload GST return only then return info will be sent to portal.
