Ein OffRide Video von "Talocan" im Phantasialand 2018. Viel Spaß beim anschauen! Hersteller: Huss Rides Typ: Suspended Top Spin Baujahr: 2007 Kapazität: 38 Personen pro Fahrt
i just wanted to clap after seeing that... IT WAS LIKE A SHOW! UPDATE: Went on it recently and it still lives up, 4 years later. Phantasialand did not disappoint!
Yes that is exactly what they do. In the park is just one deeper point. And that are parts of the roller coaster track from Black Mamba. You can reach that only in the Q Line and in the Coaster.
@@fufuboi1520 WTF?
Back in 2002 King's Island, which was owned by Paramount Pictures at the time, built a totally enclosed top spin (the kind of ride in the video) that was 3 x the size of one of these regular ones with having 3 rows of passengers riding at one time all on the same side of the car in the middle. I think 72 passengers was the capacity at one time. It was kept a secret until it debuted what kind of ride it was, all that was known is that it was inside a giant and very elaborately themed building and was called Tomb Raider the Ride. Going in there was several rooms which were closed off from one another. Like you had an outside room with lines that led to a door. Then that door opened, and the number of people who could fit on the ride went in. The door closed behind you and the room went dark and showed a brief montage of some of the Tomb Raider stuff. At some point it told you why you were there or what was going on. Eventually after a few minutes, the next door would open and you went inside the huge building themed like a temple, not too dissimilar to the above ride but more elaborate, but after the ride started it had a lot of special effects like the water and a lot of lighting being inside a building they took advantage of it. Long story short, it was probably the best top spin ever made. It's downfall came because of several reasons, firstly Paramount Pictures sold off the park and so they couldn't keep all the movie themes that the ride had and so they had to replace that stuff, which it wasn't as good. Then because it was so huge, according to the maintenance people, over time it was tearing it self apart mechanically and costing a lot of money to keep running so they changed the program of how many flips etc it did which cause many fans of the ride to not want to ride it anymore as the ride didn't justify the line time it took to get on as it was not exciting. So as they do with rides that no longer attract visitors or is costing too much money, they got rid of it. It was a great ride in the beginning though.
I‘ve been on this ride as a 12 year old child in 2009. I didn‘t have a clue what would expect me before going on this ride and of course I was afraid. But my aunt convinced me to go on there together with my bigger sister, so we went on there. And it was just horrible! I was so small and skinny the brackets werden’t appropriately fitting my Body so everything just hurt! After that ride I swore to myself that I would never ever do something like this again! Still traumatized til this day lol
@@ChillerBaby well the ride is inspired by the demonic Aztec god Tlaloc, so wouldn't surprise me if it was something other than the physics of the ride.
Went here on a German exchange at school, every guy walked out the exit either limping or with their legs spread as wide as possible. Those seats make your balls ache like buggery
When I first went to Phantasialand, I was fascinated by this ride and watched it like a show. I was tall enough to ride, yet I chickened out and decided to go some other time. Years later my home park installed a similarly themed Top Spin (Temple of Fire in Dream Island), which was admitted to be inspired by Talocan. It doesn't look quite as cool tbh, but hey, it's still spinning and scary. I braved myself to ride it, it felt like one of those things you enjoyed, but would never do again. Surprisingly, I ended up riding the original one too because there was no wait time. I don't remember anything despite restraints not having handles and not knowing where up or down is :P
I’m here after the trailer release of Black Panther 2 and since it will be Mayan origin and having the character play Mayan god Kukulkan & having the underwater nation being named Talokan it’s really cool to see there is already a Mayan ride with water that’s named Talocan lol
It's Aztec, not Mayan. At least officially. Some elements of the theming are Mayan, but the park never acknowledged that and went with a story about the Aztec god Tlaloc.
I was there.First i was so scared like REALLY scared. But then i did it.It was cool but i always had my eyes closed.Exept on the top ! But please !Go on it its one of the BEST rides.
It’s a fun ride but makes you dizzy afterwards. That’s why they took it out of six flags great America. This ride seemed a whole lot longer than the other similar ride at sixflags
This ride is cool but these things dont last forever. That is unbelievable amounts of abuse on those joints of that thing. The motor and power is unbelievable as well.
