To answer your question about sealed bearings in the portals. They run sealed bearings to keep any metal contaminants out of the bearing. Submerged in oil the oil will run into the bearings, “sealed” bearings aren’t really that sealed, submerge them in a fluid and it will go in. So sealed bearings = oil in and metal particles kept out. My experience with portal blood was it aerated badly after a short trip I checked the fluid and it was full of air bubbles drained it and let it sit for a while and was still full of air bubbles..
