now I listened to the same track again and again ,like 4-5 times with switching between speakers,on your Talon and Vandersteen"s..my verdict is ; if you blindfolded me and made me listen to these speakers,I would go for the sound of Vandersteens,,Talons sound i think more detailed but Vandersteens sound so more musical,that is my take .I hope you didnt get rid of Vandersteens,they r a bang of a buck speakers I tell you

Well you also have to consider a few things , two different rooms, different gear and listening over RU-vid which greatly degrades and does not give an accurate representation of the actual sound heard live in the room . While the Vandersteen’s may have come across more musical in the other video I can assure you the Firebirds are as musical with the added detail plus much much more. With that said the Vandersteen’s are exactly what you said they’re a bang for the buck speakers and excellent ones at that. My brother owns the Vandersteen XTRM’s and imo those speakers sound as good or better than many of the over $100k speakers I’ve listened to. @@aram34 New Dac/Streamer, silver cables , USB, Interconnects . Also I’m streaming DSD now. With vinyl I have two new carts , new table and silver cabling for that as well. New footers for all my gear etc etc etc. the change is profound over the Vandersteen setup and it shows in the sound presentation at least in person it does. Still bit to take anything away from Vandersteen as I still love them and will al have a place in my heart for them.
