First thought: Holy shit that bassist is fucking nuts. Second thought: The drummer plays some perfectly fitting beats to the bass players style. Third thought: These two vibe together like fucking ying and yang
Guitarists should tune at home, as if you weren't practicing before you got here. I haven't tuned my drums in years, they just get better every time I play them.
@Richard Moore This is a video about drums mainly (see title) and no one in the comments was saying anything about the bassist, only the drummer. Hence my comment.
Even though I sing and play guitar, I could listen to just drums and bass played this tightly all day with no need for a top line. This shit never gets boring, I LOVE the rhythm section.
These guys could go anywhere they wanted in the Music Industry or just being in local bar bands without having to show up for an audition! The Tama kit is really tight and that man can go! He's really laying down a really cool groove!
Also the colour of the drums reminds a lot the instruction video of late 80'S with Flea and Chad i think . Chad was using a double bass drum kit pale blue in color
@@anitnec you're referencing the Red Hot Rhythm Meth DVD from early 1993? Chad Smith used his pale blue Octopus kit from the Blood Sugar/One Hot Minute tour, but it was a single pedal for sure!
kyotaro and rikuo have to be my favorite drum and bass combo ever. I wish they had more material that I could listen to. I could listen his slap base rifts all day!!
I think the hardest part of this would be the super clean, super fast alternating kick and snare fill. Can’t believe after all these years I never once thought to do that.
Wow these guys rip! That mini drumkit also sounds really good. I just got a full sized kit a month ago and I have to flip my bed up against the wall to set it up 😆. Worth it though only takes me 10 mins to push my bed up and set up my drums 🥁 a small kit would def be handy in my situation tho.
That drummer does some Jazz solo licks interspersed with the Rock ones. If you listen you’ll hear those which emulate the melody somewhat whereas the Rock breaks are standard double roll 1:50 snare strokes followed by “around the horn” on toms. And mini kit can put out. I have the Tama Club Jam Pancake kit which is similar to this kit and volume is no problem.
Love Tama drums, definitely want one of these club jam kits for hybrid/A2E conversion with My Roland TM-6 pro and td-27. Gotta give up some love for me the Bass player!!!! He was incredible w/ that slap style. They are a powerful rhythm section for sure. Definitely Chad/Flea inspired
@@From_A_Diverging_Timeline They are just a duo as far I am concerned. They've been busking, had some occasional gigs, recorded a mini-album in 2018 if I am not mistaken. I've tried to follow Kyotaro & Rikuo for a couple of years now, but there is just not so much stuff on them on the Internet I'd say. I hope the guys find the greatest of spotlights soon, they totally deserve it. So inspiring!
@@leonidkornienko7077 ah yeah they are great. Really energetic its contagious. Maybe they are not musicians full time / just play for their own enjoyment. Thanks for the info
Jesus. This is a great way to show case your new stuff. I wanna buy all of it. The drums, the symbols, the bassist, the drummer skill. Maybe a pallet or two in the background.
