I really wanted to get the meets, but I really don't have the money for it right now since the prices for it went sky high after this video was made and the mix was the cheaper option. I just bought the mix and was looking to see what difference there is between the two and I'm glad there really isn't much difference. I just got into sanrio more than ever this year and I insanely regret not getting the tamagotchi when it came out. The only thing I'm really sad about is that the mix doesn't have all the characters I wanted like Kuromi which is my fav. But I will grow to like it ❤️

thank god! after getting the sanrio meets on eBay, I watched some videos on the things I can do and stumbled across this video and learnt that getting the meets was a wiser choice. thanks!

I think I would rather get the meets simply because I like the way it looks and the extra characters. Even I find these reasons ridiculous but it kinda matters to me despite the price difference. I guess I’ll start saving up now :) (also I’m pretty sure the meets is more expensive now)

@@LovePandaBunny i had originally preordered them through urban outfitters. but when i heard they were going to be available in august i was a little upset. its a long time to wait, and being that im in ontario Canada where our release date is July 10-28th i decided to cancel my urban outiftters order and ordered them through indigo chapters instead. i actually just got my Canada post update that they are at my local postoffice now XD ready for pick up tomorrow XD super excited. and thanks so much for making such knowledgable, informative and fun vids. i really love them and i usually watch them over and over again XP

Meets definitely seems better to me! But I think I’ll still eventually get the Mix (I already got the Meets Sanrio) in the future just to have both Sanrio’s :) Meets seems to have a fall outdoors while Mix has a spring outdoors?

This video was really helpful now I know which one I will buy. I'm completely crazy about the sanrio red dx BUT I didn't know which locations it has...SO tomorrow morning I will order the Tamagotchi Mix. Thank you Subscribe ❣️ Edit: I'm a little bit disappointed coz I bought the Tamagotchi Sweets Meets, Pastel Meets, the Tamagotchi On (Magic and Wondergarden) and all of them have almost the same locations :-/ but I'm still love them 😍

So far, I've had no issues with import taxes or fees! I primarily buy through Amazon Japan; with their Global program, they do a really good job of calculating and including the fees in your shipping cost. That makes it a lot more simple in my opinion.

I found it quite funny watching this now that the price for the Sanrio meets has flown sky high. I swear the last time I saw one on sale it was going for like 200USD. I’m not sure what the reason is after watching this as the two are so similar! I just bought a bundle Sanrio mix and 20th anniversary gift mix for 115USD, and I’m really happy with my decision. Maybe one day I’ll get a Sanrio meets but the price would need to come down a bit for me to be able to justify it

Do these come with all the tamagotchi characters from the normal version as well? Wondering if I should go for this or just one of the regular ones but if it gives more options I’ll be all over it!

Each version of Tamagotchi has their own special characters (so there really aren't any versions considered "normal" :) just non-Sanrio). The Mix and Meets Sanrio versions also each include different characters (the Meets has more Sanrio themed ones than the Mix). Currently, there is no Sanrio version in English. However, there is a similar Tamagotchi (without the Sanrio characters) called the "On" that is available in English! The Tamagotchi On can be found at Target, Barnes & Noble, EB Games/GameStop, and Amazon in North America.

I’m late, HI! 👋🏻 I am very new to Tamagotchi! I’ve been looking through types of them✨. I only have ever owned the LPS Pig pocket one🐷 which is sort of close to Tamagotchi... I 💗 Sanrio and I really want my first ever Tamagotchi to be the Mix of Sanrio!!!! 🎀 They are very Pricey tho but I just can’t go another day wishing for it. 🥀 Is the Meets cheaper and BETTER? 👉🏻👈🏻☺️ I really want one! The Sanrio Meets is less expensive than the Mix! The Sanrio Meets is around $60 USD new, and the Mix can be anyway between about $60 to $120 depending on new or used. One isn't necessarily better or worse than the other. The Meets can connect to the Meets app, and has more Sanrio Characters. However, it CANNOT marry the Mix.

How easy is it to order from amazonjp? I notice you can change the language, but I've been hesitant to order because I don't know about the shipping and taxes.

Are you in the United States, or other area of the world? If you're in the US, Amazon Global will incorporate the taxes and custom fees into the shipping cost, so it's super easy! If you're interested, and I made a video covering this topic a few months ago. However, the video is really only relevant to shoppers in the USA.

All the Japanese Tamagotchi Mix and Meets versions have very similar menus and options. So I would recommend whatever theme you like the most! There are many players online that do not speak Japanese. All of us are here to help :D

Mermaid Palace and Gozaru Village on most Mixes! Some of the locations are a little different depending on the version.

Woohoo! I was able to order a Sanrio meets this week because the prices met a sudden ~40 percent drop this weekend. 64 USD was a steal compared to everything before *sweats* My sweets meets will finally get that final location

While the meets looks nice, I think I’ll get the m!x because it’s cheaper and still has cinnamoroll but I like the design of the meets more without the egg shell on the m!x

so i went ahead and ordered a sanrio meets. thanks so much for making the decision super easy for me :) Also my purple magic tamagtochi On just arrived. the lag is strong with this one(on) XP im running a pink, yellow, blue and purple P's, a purple idLe and the purple tamatgotchi On. and the lag is soooo noticeable. i cant believe how long the On takes to turn ON. i love it, regardless. But holy cow. are you planning on ordering/owning a tamagotchi On at any time? i pre-ordered mine through indigo/chapters + i live in Ontario Canada :) i love my new On, but as of right now i still rate my english patched P's as my #1 recommended colour tamagotchi.

Congrats on the On! Sorry to hear about the lag though =/ Did I count that correctly-- you're running SIX Tamas?! That is majorly impressive (I fail when running anything more than two LOL. But I really really want to get a Ps someday when I get the money). I did preorder a green Tamagotchi On! Unfortunately, from GameStop, as they are releasing them on August 15th lol. I know Amazon had some Ons in stock, but their green shell still says it is going to be released on August 15th. I think I will only have money for one, and I definitely want green! I may try to pick one up from Target tomorrow if they have them in stock, but its my husband's birthday, so I don't really want to make that a day full of recording/editing Tama videos.

@@LovePandaBunny yeah im in a really good spot financially right now, so i can afford to splurge every once and a while. regardless of the lag i love my purple On, its soo freaking pretty and im really looking forward to mixing the genes and making a really cute and new tama. i think thats a really cool game function. and yeah 6 tamas XP i love all the shell colours and i was just going to run 2 at a time, but then i missed the other colours. the green and purple P's are soo pretty. i didnt think i was going to get so many but they were like chips...cant have just one XP i can totally understand the money squeeze, i assure you that the Ons are super popular and they will be around for a long time so you can pick one up at your leisure. though im really looking forward to when you do a full review on them XD i love your vids and always look forward to seeing them :)

Ha! I'm running two meets and that's my limit. Way too much stress. I have a 20th Mix as well, but he just got the batteries taken away because I rather focus on the Meets...

do you still think the meets is worth it over the mix with the recent change in price? as far as ive found, the meets is now WAY more expensive coming in around 200 euros whereas the mix is a lot less money. Have your opinions changed as the prices changed?

@@crazyjingle55 i actually have an on now (sadly no mix yet) but i do really think it’s worth the price if! you get a good deal. i don’t think it’s worth over 150, i could not justify that price but i definitely think if you get a good deal it’s really really good. i really like mine, cost me about 110 euros :)

@@crazyjingle55 the meets definitely seems like an upgraded version, there’s even fanmade apps for the meets (mymeets where you can make your own tamas, make custom backgrounds and send items) and the fanmade version of the old app that shut down, and that has super cool tamas that you can actually marry and get genes from that aren’t available elsewhere, as well as normal marriages from the app. it’s definitely very very fun!

i thought that the point of the tamagotchi mix is that you can breed with the sanrio characters and get hybrid sanrio x tamagotchi babies.. is that also an option in the tamagotchi meets sanrio?

No, there is no English setting. They are Japanese only.

Both the Mix and Meets are ONLY in Japanese. However, the new Tamagotchi On (which is similar to the Meets) is only in English!

It really comes down to personal preference! If you're specifically looking for one in English, then you can't go wrong with the On. Between the Mix and Meets--- they're so similar, but I'd say the Meets has "more" to do. However, the Meets has a past of glitches (which seems to be improving), and the Mix doesn't seem to have that.
