Tamar Braxton Cries While Talking About Abusive Past & Self-Esteem Issues 

This is why I love Tamar. All the loud and attitude is her protecting herself. This is real. At the end she is resilient and she deserves to talk about how "beat" she is lol.

I most definitely can relate to Tamar. Sometimes you have to smile....even when/if it hurts. Overcoming your battered past is a huge challenge but it can be done.

This Tamar clip TRULY goes to show that everyone has a barrier of some sort, no matter how quiet or loud a personality. We are all human and we feel...even though we do somersaults to try and act like we don't. I congratulate her and hope for continual confidence and self-esteem in her journey. I can definitely relate.

Wow, that is such a game changer! I never knew Tamar was in an abusive relationship. Everyone of us has a story that is yet to be told. Now I know why she is so protective of her sisters against their trifling husbands.

I love Tamar, and I pray that she becomes less underrated, and gets the fame she deserves, she's wonderful

I could always tell that Tamar was insecure because like she said, she overcompensates. Usually when people overcompensate they don't want something seen. God bless her. I hope she gets to a place of self-love.

Sometimes it takes a few bumps in the road to get where we need to be. And I think had Tamar not had those experiences she wouldn't be able to appreciate Vince. All experiences hold a lesson and we might not get it the first or second time, but we do eventually and that's what life is all about.... LOVE YOU TAMAR

she is a very good hearted person. not may women would express their insecurities. God bless her! Makes me feel better knowing I'm not alone. I also worked in big business and forced myself to APPEAR confident, but childhood mental abuse left me with diagnosed PTSD that I had to hide. Life has been hard, but God has always made a way for me to succeed when I didn't think there WAS a way. Those tapes and put downs are still in my head, but with help from a therapist, I'm coping. Tamar is wonderful and beautiful in every way.

I believe that tamar has had a lot happen to her having self esteem issues isnt something that people should ridicule because its out there speaking from experience so I get it and I understand her and I feel that being the issue it is easy for 1 person or many to come into your life and use that to there advantage to control you or keep you from reaching the potential they see in you but we have to keep fighting and I'm glad she talked about this because it is real it is out there and it can happen to anyone so thank you tamar.

@briana brown: try to remember that self esteem is what we give ourselves, you have to believe you are beautiful inside and out and ignore all those telling you otherwise. You won't find comfort in the way others view you, only in how you portray and view yourself, school is tough when your being bullied.....just remember you decide how you allow people to treat you and you decide your future. The best revenge is success. Get your education and let that be your focus:)

I always perceived that vulnaribility about Tamar, my son used to say how he couldn't understand why she behaved like a diva and I told him that she had probably been in very bad relationships and been abused, that is why she is putting up that show, being so defensive all the time. I know somebody like that and she just has a big heart she needs to protect!!! Love and peace to all.
